It hasn't even got to Australia yet but I managed to get the pilot episode and the first episode of this show and oh boy I LOVE IT!.
Hopefully it will start screening here soon.

Who ya gonna call?? CULTBUSTERS!!!
by Junction-Guy inwell i got a phone call last night from a sweet little old lady who saw my flyer at her church.
she tells me "im at my wits end, and i dont know what to do" i asked her what the problem was and she went on to explain how her neighbor is forever more having bookstudies and holding field service meetings next door.
her neighbor is a jw and is most likely an elder.

Australian TV show child sexual abuse in JWs
by gerry inthe sunday tv program that is broadcast nationwide in australia on the nine network is featuring a story this coming sunday 29th may on "turning a blind eye on paedophilia".
three years ago the sunday program exposed the child sexual abuse in the jehovah's witnesses.
graham davis the reporter for that story won a new york festivals medal in 2004 for that investigation.

Crazy reasons why people became JW's...
by misspeaches indo any of you have any amusing stories as to why some people becames jw's?.
personally... when we were just little tikes my mum was organising a birthday party for my sister.
she invited the neighbours boys around and they weren't allowed because they were a jw family.

Personally... When we were just little tikes my mum was organising a birthday party for my sister. She invited the neighbours boys around and they weren't allowed because they were a JW family. The neighbour explained to mum why they don't and VOILA.... the rest as they say is history. Growing up I thought what a great real life experience of someone gaining the 'troof' because of example blah, blah, blah... But now I think - what the? what mother would go for something like depriving her kids of birthdays? that's just plain crazy... LOL

Ladies - Do you have trouble with prayer?

as a consequence of your time as a jw 'sister' do you find it difficult to pray?
after believing that men could pray willy nilly without issue but women couldn't i still have issues feeling worthy enough to talk to god in prayer.

If you have heard of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy you may have heard of Babelfish before. Its a little fish that the characters put in their ears so they could communicate in any language. Hope this helps!

Here in Australia you would not wear pants to any 'theocratic' arrangement - meetings, assemblies, field service. its skirts and dresses only... i have NEVER seen a woman wear pants to any of those things.
