a letter from the uk branch is being read out this week - begging for a long list of highly qualified brothers such as engineers, draughtsmen etc.
to contribute their expertise free of charge in order to get the new britain branch built!.

what made you realize it was time to go?
i've been having health problems for the last few years and instead of any help, i'm listed as spiritually weak and of course associations is only my kids and husband.
all the good jw's have moved to other congregations and are doing well.

@kurtbethel - are you making a comparison between a doomsday cult that have never been right and 97% of climate scientists?
kurt - I dont know who you are or where you are from, but the major problem with public perception of climate change is the source of their information. Most of the general public take their viewpoint from their preferred media outlet, not from scientific consensus.
And for 25% of Americans that means they deny reality. I guess its a bit like JW's who take their viewpoint from the WTS, not from reality.

on the 9th march professor lawrence krauss was invited to take part in a debate at university college london with the topic "islam or atheism: which makes more sense?"..
professor krauss became aware of the audience being segregated on the basis of gender before the debate began and announced that he would withdraw from the event unless it was corrrected immediately.
the seating was opened up to all and the deabate went ahead.
It wouldn;t happen in France - our students are way too docile...

Here are my list of requests before I would consider JW's as a religious choice
1 - stop protecting pedofiles and start mandatory reporting to police of all allegations
2 - stop advocating medical suicide
3 - stop emotional blackmail via extreme shunning
4 - start advocating education for children
5 - start being honest about their doctrine
6 - start paying tax
Once they have done all that I would consider going back - it would be a brief consideration, but I would consider it :-)
