first of all i would like to think everyone for the support i recieved yesterday.

i would also like to shed some light on my past, hopefully this does not give it away as to who i might be.

What else can I add to what has already been said other than my own heartfelt sympathies for you and all your family in yet_another_family_breakdown engineered by hateful twisting of Scripture by a mind control cult?

Likewise my wife (SweetPea) and I were both brought up as JW's and likewise I was the one doing the independent thinking. Difference being I managed to make sure she was on board before starting an unsuccessful fade together. (Both DF'd very recently for apostasy :-)) Likewise we have 2 sons I think the world of and are also some of the youngest ex-JW's I know at 30 months and 8 months respectively.

In the short to medium term your life as you know it is over. Friends and family JW's are there for you conditionally on you believing as they do. Thats incredibly hurtful for you to internalize and deal with. Longer term perhaps there may be some reconciliation with your JW family, excluding Mrs UsedToBeAnEldersWife (UTBAEW). Her situation will need to be resolved between you without delay.

What you haven't revealed in your posts so far is your perception of how UTBAEW feels about you. You say you love her and had a great relationship until the boys got DF'd. Also that you got married and had kids very quickly thereafter. I know you grew up together but not having a long relationship as a married couple before the stresses and strains of kids can be a problem for some couples after the children grow up.

Her underlying feelings for you now the religious status quo has been irretriveably altered will be the key factor IMHO.

Predictions of the final total of total peak publishers for JWs?

the service year of 2006-07 is finished.

the 2005-06 year peaked at 6,741,444 total.

the average was much lower, and many of the higher total did only dummy service or fake service.

'churn' is the killer for them.

Because SweetPea and I left, our former congregation will be preaching for the next three years just to replace us.

Take Total Hours Preaching and divide by the difference between Average Pubs 2007 and Average Pubs 2006 and that gives you the number of hours required to create 1 new publisher.

Churn will slowly strangle them, starting in the West with its ageing population. Their best and brightest are leaving.

Why do JW apologists always have to lie???

JW Brain - I shouldn't be taking part in this Internet debate. Didn't the recent QB in the Sep KM tell us not to defend the WT online?

Normal Brain - Thats all very well - but this person needs to know the truth.

Both Brains Together - we go online and pretend not to be a JW and talk in the 3rd party. Gives a good witness and we're not disobeying the Society. Great idea....

UK - 'No Cold Calling Zones' becoming prevalent + popular

i've noticed a few press articles recently about the spread of these zones where door knockers are being clamped down on, mainly to prevent old ladies having their life savings taken off them by unscrupulous tradesmen.. the overall reaction has been very positive with local authorities reporting significant decreases in doorstep crimes.. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article2289189.ece.

London Bethel Fax No?

besty survived the jc last night - more details to follow in due course - he wants to fax a letter to the legal department at bethel but having phoned them from the train this morning, they are being cagey about giving out the number and the 'operative' at the end of the phone wouldn't identify himself either - i think this organisation and its minions think they are in the same league as mi5, the cia, the fbi etc.
