  What Was The 1st Thing That Made You Question?

  as a youngster raised in the "truth", i had my questions.

  but anytime you ask a question that is unanswerable, you are told to just wait on jehovah.

  as time passes, i believe that we store up a number of unanswerable questions that forces one to eventually think about everything.

  It was the WT-UN affair that made me seriously start an investigation. Before that I used to discard any doubt. They have only four or five doctrines that I believe are true... those kept me inside... but the UN affair opened my eyes... they do not own the bible (Yes, they believe they own it!).

  hi friends,.

  i need confirmation about a rumour i keep hearing about in my country.

  several jw's who know about the wt-un affair are saying that in usa the wt is having the elders in the congregations give a speech accepting the blame for this scandal & asking for forgiveness or something similar.

  Good point Benext!
  They do not have to ask for forgiveness or feel guilty or apologize, in the letter they wrote to all the Branches they explained the reason for joining... so if they ever say a different thing theyll show they were lying.

Has anyone of you heard about this? or is this damage control?

  Thanks to all of you for your words,
  On the one hand, I can say I am worried, on the other I am confident. I am worried like someone who is going to take an examn, but I am confident because I know I can pass it. My family is with me & I am the only JW in my extended family. I only feel for some friends because I will lose them. There is good people inside... I would not have become a JW if that were not the case... but this is not a case for considering them ahead of God or my principles. I know that I can defend myself very well & show the WT its unfaithfulness regards the UN, that is why I know the outcome beforehand. I cannot accept the WT answer about this affair, and they will not accept a person how does not submit. It is as simple as that.

  first of all, sorry for my bad english i'm from peru south america.

  there's a lot to tell but i'm going in this time to be brief, because i'm very busy.. i had been an elder for almost 8 years and a jh for more than 22 years.. i'm a searcher of the truth from the 10 years old.

  i grow as a catholic and got baptized as a jh at the age of 21.. in october of 2001 a jw friend ask me about the un&wt and bulgarian affair.

  Here in Peru you don't pay for the literature now, we did pay some years ago, but that has changed.

  By the way, this wednesday, I was told they announced that Ginosko had been disassociated.
