I do not post much here... but I read the forum daily.

I do have to share this with you, my oldest son has just finished his studies in the university. He finished in the top 10% in his career, "Industrial Engineering", in one of the best universities in our country.

When we were JW, He was told by the C.O. not to go to the university but preach as soon as he finished his studies in the school.

I am proud of him! :)

Hi Tom
I am also an Ex-JW (faded) from Perú (so my native language is Spanish)... I have read several of David Bercot's books (Will the Real Heretics Please Stand Up..? Common Sense…, a Dictionary of Early Christian Writings )… and I have read also the writings of several of the Ante-Nicene Fathers…

So, I`m close to Catholicism (I was one before being a JW and this is mainly a catholic country… my whole family is catholic and I was the only JW in it), but I have some problems with the RC church yet (Images, Mary)….

I also have visited an Orthodox Church here (I like them but still have problems with the Icons)… but that church is far from my home. I like Anglicans (no Icons, images)… and the Anabaptists (I have not found any of them here)… so I have not made up my mind yet..

I would like to contact David Bercot… Does he have a web page?... I would like to contact a Catholic Ex-JW group too… so, if you have information to share with me, please do

Bookstudy and the United Nations

wondering if anyone else is taking advantage of the subject matter being covered these past few weeks at the bookstudy (revelation climax book) regarding religion's association with the blasphemous scarlet colored wild beast (un organization)?

this week especially does the book get into religion's "heinous" involvement with the un with the wt society's writers even sarcasticly poking fun at other religions who have supported the un.

i, for one, have been taking full advantage of this grand opportunity to "witness" to as many j-dubs as possible about the wt society's secret 10 year involvement with the un and subsequent coverup.

I was born & live in Peru, here you can go to any supermarket and buy little bags of coca leaves (very similar to the tea bags). You prepare a tea, good for the stomack, good for when you are tired. I always have a box of them in the kitchen. In the Andes the indians chew them... it is traditional, they work at so high altitudes and with so little food that they could not live without it.
