My perspective is much different from your own.

I have modified my body to appear much different from other people.

This often results in fast judgements being passed down upon me.

However, do the large holes in my ears inhibit me from working hard? Hardly.

Do tattoos make incapable of love? Certainly not.

Do subcutaneous metal bars in the back of my head make me less of a person? I don't believe so.

But some would say otherwise.

My appearance doesn't make me who I am.

But a judgemental attitude does alter other people's personalities.

Hygeine of course, is a different matter.

Un-marked territory trips, or whatever you call it. Did you ever go?

i heard today at work, one of the witnesses at work has signed up for going to miss.

or tenn. with a group to work "un-marked" areas?

i know i'm calling it wrong, but you know what i mean.. did any of you make any of these type of trips, where, and any crazy happenings on them?.

Yup, went to Mercer County West Virginia for a week when I was 12, and BFE, NC when I was 14 for a week a piece.

The key is to stay as far from the territory as possible, so you get an extra hour or two just getting there each day.

It sucked.

we all know that bethel is especially going to be monitoring "apostate" websites, such as this one, in the light of their apparently massive settlements to ensure that their gag orders for the lawsuits are kept (if someone was going to break it, this is likely the first place they'd turn!).

later on today there will be press conferences disclosing that "some" settlements have been reached, for "some" amount of money.

He was sued for copyright infringement.

As I recall things were settled out of court as long as he agreed to be quiet and take the site down.

Of course, the contents of that site have been added to other site's as well.

Oh, and let's not forget Elsewhere's website was shut down as well.

I consistently date people about 5 years older than me. The biggest gap was 9 years, and it was phenomenal.

Age doesn't matter when it's the right person.

Hell, Crumpet will prob. be 35 before I get to meet her...

Contacts, left goes in first, right handed.

Toilet paper- overhanded. That's how God made it to work.

Don't own a pool, or a hose for that matter.

Jello in a goldfish bowl would be cruel, but I've put it in toilets.

funny though, the only time i really think about the good old days is when i come here.

when i meet other exjws, quite often they seem consumed by their present situation.

sometimes i like to go out, have a couple of drinks and enjoy the food.

i work with a lot of people who are very sexually active.

which should mean they are real happy, right?

after all, isn't sex the best feeling in the world and that is why we have such a strong internal sex drive.

I don't think everyone is emotionally capable of handling the idea of giving their bodies away with little to expect in return.

But by the same token,

I don't think everyone is emotionally capable of handling the idea of a lifelong committment to one person.

So, you must know yourself, and use discretion.

i never posted a big to do about it, but myself and my girlfriend of quite a while ended our relationship rather abruptly not too long ago.

it sucked, but luckily it wasn't really ugly or anything.. .

For those who've settled on 'no contact' with their JW families . . .

do you question it sometimes and think you should try to "reach out" to them again?

i was this morning and then came across the thread above and was reminded why i need to stay away.. but, still, i read threads of people who have managed somehow, despite being d'f'ed or faded or d'aed and think i might try to be more understanding, supportive, reach out or something.. despite all the problems growing up in a fairly dysfunctional family, i still feel a deep attachment to them and hope against hope that they might come to their senses (if they ever had any to begin with) and get help and leave the cult of jehobo; and we might reconcile,etc., etc., blah blah blah dream dream dream.. i deeply wish for them all freedom and happiness and healing and feel so helpless to free them of their bonds and yet see so much possibility for it, if only they could be reached somehow.

Of course, there was a ton of abuse issues with my mom, but no contact is the best way for us to do things.
