The last time the CO visited, he asked me to accompany him in service. Instead of telling him a vague answer- I told him the truth. I said "Sorry, I'm going to the gun show [redneck fest] this weekend". He was very pissed and complained to the elders. Then one brother asked me what the deal was. They were like "but he's the CO! You cant tell him no!!" I told the brother I served Jehovah [BS] and not man. My time is as important as his, and I was honest with him...

but yes JWs are very caught up on titles like they relae to greatness. Especially when a high-up gets disfellowshipped... "But he was an ELDER/ Service Overseer/ whatever"

Apparently, I was forced to become a member of one of those apocalyptic doomsday cults... Every day I wake up pissed about that- but beautiful lady friends, awesome buddies, and regular use of firearms kind of balances it out... And since school's out- I don't have to wake up at all if I don't want too.

Maybe thats why I like hunting so much... Cause I get to blend in and just be part of nature

The love you didn't get as a JW...

often, i hear people say that there is no love in the jw org.

can you give personal examples of this?.

Remember than any love you might squeeze out of a witness is always going to be AGAPE , which is principle love. So it might be love... buts its just because they have to.

Sharp dressed men, or thanks WTS.....

.....yeah thanks to all the men in my (past wts) life!.

i've recently started working for a big department store and was hired to work in the men's department.

i've found that my years of being a jw has finally paid off because if there is one thing i learned being a jw is how sharp dressed men dress and yes some of those elders could really put on the nines!.

No pink dress shirts or ties! I don't care that Donald Trump does it.

Also- Sharp creases and cuffs look sharp on someone who wants to look professional- but they require dry cleaning much more often.

No double breasted's and none of those boring one buttons- 2 buttons is ok on the 35 and up crowd but no self respecting man will walk out with less than three... five is ok if you're tall enough. And no zuit suits where the jacket comes Way down your leg. And non of those oriental looking- non lapel having things where just the collar stands up.... THATS UGLY

Anybody read this book?

it's called "the history of god... the 4,000 year quest of christianity, judism, and, islam".. i just read the introduction so far and from what i can tell the author shows how the idea of god changes with every generation.

and the way the 3 main monotheistic religions have viewed god over the centuries.

looks very interesting.
