Bullies

hi ya'll.. i'm looking for advice on how to handle a neighborhood child that is bullying my son and other children in my apartment complex.

he is very mean, takes my son's stuff, tries to trip him on his bike by putting a stick into his spokes, pulling his underwear up, cussing at him.

at first i tried to talk to him nicely, asked him to please not do mean things to other children.

Then I would tell your son that if he is being beat up, then he will not get into trouble for defending himself. Abusing someone is wrong, no matter what the age. Maybe a lesson learned from your son will change this boys actions in the future.
I always loved that scene in "Christmas Story" movie that shows Ralphie beating up the town bully. Love that show!

Are the Demons Really Everywhere?

our witness family was obsessed with demonism.. at a very early age, i was introduced to strange stories of demonism.

a brother in the congregation had brought home a souvenier doll from a tropical island as a gift for his daughter.

the daughter would talk about how the doll would come to life, but the stories were dismissed and attributed to the child's imagination.

I'm about to hyperventilate... I can't believe I was made to go door to door as a little girl and if I didn't enjoy it, I was told that God would punish me and that all of the doors I missed might have people dying at Armaggedon and their blood would be on my shoulders. How horrible! I can't believe this!....
I always knew that they were messed up, but I have been completly cut off from the entire jw organization for 10 years! This is all new to me...I'm going to sleep on this. Wow!

This is big... To a Jehovah's Witness...
This is compared to the Pope saying that you're not going to heaven like you thought, he decides to live in his own house instead of the vatican, abortion is ok, and we're not going to call ourselves catholic anymore.

Ok wait, now... does this mean that the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society is different than the Jehovah's Witnesses? Two separate religions?

Everything I was ever taught as a kid they're not even doing anymore. Why are people still going? They are nuts! I'd have more respect for them if they just stuck to their crazy rules and way of thinking. The light got brighter! How are people still buying into this? I'm shocked. Shocked doesn't even say it right. So... who really are the real jw's? So... did alot of people leave the organization after all of the "light getting brighter" happened? Wow.....................?!!
