  Can you be "just friends" ?

  ok this one is 2 fold..... tonight i was chatting to my ex on the internet and despite 5 years elapsing, he wants to go out for a beer.

  he was a creep at the time we split, good looking and all the rest, but prone to violent outbursts and had this knack of making me think i didn't need any other friends (i gradually dropped them all) whilst all the time becoming more controlling........it messed up my head at the time.

  (like a dumb twat i even gave him all my visa cards as he said he'd be better at managing "our" money) apparently he is now a changed person, and i am too, no longer as gullible as i once was.

  First of all- Only you know him well and what he is capable of doing. Do you think he would start trouble with you right before leaving town or do you think he just wants to say his last goodbyes? If so, it could mean closure for you and him.

  Secondly- Does this gay friend of yours have any feelings towards you what-so-ever? Be honest with yourself. If she does, than it wouldn't be wise to go into a business deal with her because if any bad blood stirs up it will seem like a divorce where you could cut the air with a knife. In my past experiences, living with someone else has been a sure way of ruining a friendship. But maybe you two really work well together and it would be great. Have you tried living together first for a trial run at it? See what happens!

  Should I write/ call my sisters?

  i know that i asked before whether or not you thought i should talk to them again.

  but i can't help feeling so guilty as to how things were left.

  i know that they are at fault for us not having a relationship but i feel like the last words we say to each other shouldn't be mean just in case something should happen to one of us.

I know that they are at fault for us not having a relationship but I feel like the last words we say to each other shouldn't be mean just in case something should happen to one of us. I want to leave things on a better note but that doesn't mean I want them back in my life again because of their abusive behavior. What should I say to get that across?   Watchtower study - so long and so boring

  i remember going to sunday meetings...the public talks went by fast (sometimes).

  but the watchtower study to me was so boring and not interesting at all.

  it felt longer than the public talk.

  from what i know, selena's father, abraham, has been inactive for many, many years.

  abraham's father was also a witness.

  i've heard him say recently what makes him go through life after her death and said its his hope in the resurection.

  30...who woulda thunk it

  well i did it...i actually made it to age 30. today, april 12th 1975 i was born and i am still trying to full comprehed the feeling that comes along with it.

  my office threw me a party and i am having another one on fri, more the drunken type of gathering.

  it is a good week but a part of me will never fully be able to comprehend the simple feeling of "birthday" lol..anyhow..i'm still alive!

  I'm going to be 30 on Sep. 11 this year. I still can't believe it. I thought I would have it more together by now. It's really making me wake up that this is it. You get one life (hopefully more) and you better start using it. No more guilt, no more regrets, no more wishing I had people in my life that don't want me in their's. Someone once said to me- The first 30 years I spent doing the things everyone else wanted me to do, this next 30 years I'm going to do whatever the hel* I want!

  free- I heard that they will except the powder form of blood but not the liquid. But they end up making the powdre into liquid blood anyways so that sounds like double talk. It's like saying you can't have cows milk because cows are holy to god, but you can have powdered milk!

  gonnzo bonnzo- sorry I got your name wrong, I thought you were another jw trying to act like that wasn't true what is really going on.

  rev 7:14 says the great crowd "comes out of" the great trib. not "lives" through. according to wts, this means those who live though and those who are resurrected.

  Honestly this means nothing to me because I don't believe in the bible stories/ resurrection/ great crowd at all. But what is upsetting is that they do all of this work, work, work, and they still are not guaranteed a spot in the afterlife. This was not the case when I was growing up, the sisters/brothers were very haughty when it came to their beliefs that they were in the great crowd. Still this point is small potatoes compared to seperating from the publishing co. For me, this was all too much of a shock. Especially when one of my friends died at 15 years old from not taking blood/ fragments and everyone thought she was a martyr. Now I find out that she could have lived if it was left up to her conscience. They are horrible, horrible people that play on peoples need for spirituality. They slap all of these ridiculous rules on their contributors so that people feel like they are obeying god so therefore they must be blessed by god. Shame on them! Maybe gary didn't get word for word right due to the length of his absence from that evil company but at least he stands for something good now. I hope you can now understand where I am coming from and realize that I am not a bad person, but rather, someone that is appalled that an organization with this much authority is this irresponsible. There are better ways to make money in this world than to toy with peoples lives!

  I know it seems like I'm flighty but I guess I need to try something before I realize that it's not for me. Everything else in my life seems somewhat solid except for my choice in a career.

  My sister is a hair stylist and she is putting herself through nursing school, the last time I heard. Good Luck in all of your endeavors .Love

  In the early 80's I'd say Michael Jackson. But since Prince became one, he took over that spot. I would listen to his sermon all the way through before slamming the door on him!!! Whoa!

  Immigration and weddings...

  so i've mentioned i'm engaged and may or may not have mentioned that i'm emigrating to the us from canada.

  waiting in the immigration process, in a word, sucks.

  add to that the we got shafted by a lawyer who didn't do what he was supposed to, so we lost 6 months of processing time not having our application in.

  That's great! Hope you like America. You have to take the pros with the cons. Just make sure you're moving for you and you'll be happy. My friend used to live in Portland and she said it was beautiful. The people there are more laid back than in the NorthEast, so I've been told. Kind of artsy and earthy. I'm just relaying to you how she put it to me. haha But seriously, have an adventure! Love
