  you may not remember, but i know you very well.

  i met you a long time ago when you came to my house with your smiling faces, your neat clothes, and your soft voices, and a bible tucked neatly under your arm.

  you told me beautiful stories of a "paradise earth," and a "righteous new system" which would be established shortly.

  sng....you are right about the gb. knowing the effects they are having..this letter is similar to one that i wrote to them..but they are not listening...i sometimes wonder if they read the letters or whether they discard them and dismiss the individual as a crank...but they did read mine because they replied to me or at least they got london to reply to me and they sent copies of their letter to the co and the body of elders in coatbridge...they said they were sad to hear i was struggling but that jesus learned obedience thru suffering..(my response to that is that i didnt learn obedience..i learned hostility unkindness revenge disillusion disobedience..things that i would never have dreamed of before)..and they also said that they had considered my suggestions re judicial cases and that they would be helpful for the future...in some ways i wish they hadnt read it cos to read it and do nothing is worse..in much the same way as being continually told 'well j knows what is happening' but his not doing anything about it is worse than his not knowing in the first place...the co and the elders never came to speak to me about it....

  i had mentioned earlier this week that i was speaking to someone who has high up connections in brooklyn and he was saying that the gb know the elder arrangement is working and esp judicially..but they dont know what to do about it..some heavenly direction there right

  Not Having Kids in 'This System....'

  one of my former bs conductors and her husband decided when they got married, they wouldn't have any kids 'in this system'.

  i know the world could be better, but i see no reason not to have children if that's what your wishes really are....and you're able to for that matter.

  she just turned 34 and really wants to have a child.

  More fun with witness urban myths.....

  i have heard many urban myths associated with the watchtower society and its hapless adherents.

  i like the one where an "interested one" accepted the invitation to attend the memorial one year, and sat next to a "sister" who let the confused attendee use her bible to look up scriptures as they were presented.

  afterword, the "sister" walked the man up to the circuit overseer, who had delivered the talk that year, and introduced the dupe-filled "study" to the co. the co complimented the man on his spiritual interest and asked what impelled him to come up and talk to him.

  in a central american country rebel soldiers stopped two young men walking along the road and told them they were to join them or they would be shot...the boys said they were witnesses and that they were neutral and the gang leader said if you are witnesses you will know the days text for today and pulled out an examining the scriptures daily out of his pocket to check...lucky for the boys they had done their days text that morning..so they survived...bit of a shame though for any jw family that did it regular as clockwork... at teatime

  it was southern calif. about 1969. i was 20 years old.

  have you found some new band or artist that you would reccomend we listen to...for this to work we would need to know what style of music you normally listen to and then we can know if its what we would enjoy...eg.

  i like pink floyd...genesis...yes...etc.....................and have just found mercury rev......brill

  just thought some of you might enjoy this, i know it's tough to read, but it always gives me a kick to see how the ininitiated react to the way we lived.. _donnie (4:39:19 pm): growing up i was taught these people were "apostates" and pretty much were demons, crazy shit, i used to have nightmares and crap, it's crazy.

  they teach you that the world is gonna end any day, all the people you see that aren't witnesses are dead meat.. donnie (4:39:51 pm): the thing that got me though, was they always said people that just didn;t know would be fine...so my question was...why did you tell me?.

  donnie (4:40:17 pm): they are the kings of circular logic.

  but its much cooler when you dont revitalise a thread yourself but someone else does...its like getting a clap at an assembly without deliberately leading the audience
