  i have been a jw for a long time.

  What happened to you, to not to "feel the love" from the "friends"?

  thinking back at the start of me questioning that perhaps the "friends" were not really true friends at all, were some experiences i will relate below: please share those that you have experienced.. after i had carpel tunnel surgery and was in a cast.....not one of the "friends" asked me about it?

  at first i thought they wanted to be "polite" and not draw attention to the fact of the cast...but thinking more about it afterwards...it was just plain unloving and uncaring.

  I didnt "feel the love" till my name was announced on the platform. Shortly after, a "sister" from the hall, (gogetter) from here, came a knocking.........(who i really didnt even know) She was so shocked and ticked at them for dfing me. I feel more love from the ex witnesses, than any of the current JW's, including my family.....what a shame hey?

  What a great idea!

  I was df'd at 18 for fornication........even though I was repentant. I went in, tears pouring down my face and confessed. They had a jc meeting, and I feel they df'd me more for the fact that the I was associating with my Mother and Sister who were df'd. They blamed what I did, on the fact I went against the Society, and didnt stay away from bad association. There is nothing worse then being in a huge, loving family, and have them ripped away from you in one night of announcements!

  I was reinstated years later......but only went for six months. I was inactive for 15 years, and got a knock on the door. I agreed to study, but it only took 1 1/2 weeks for them to pull me in the back room for another jc, and df me again for my "worldly" lifestyle. Even though I hadnt claimed to be a witness for 15 years............hog wash!

  Maybe not by visions...but they do claim that they have the "Channel" with God...what exactly does that mean? Isn't having a "direct channel" similar to claiming that they get special abilities from God to know how to teach their flock?

  And if thats the case.......why the need for NEW LIGHT? Wouldnt every bit of info they print be correct from the start? Why would Jehovah give them wrong direction, and correct it later down the road?

  last week i received a home visit from a couple of elders because they were concerned about my spirituality.

  and lack of progress.

  i said so you can guarantee the end will be here in 5 years.

  Some of them will never get it. Some know, but will never leave, still waiting.

  I had a conversation with a reletive about a year ago. "you need to go back, the end is so near!!!!" Me? "the end has been right around the corner way before I was even born! " "I know, it gets discouraging, but really, its so close!"

  What will this relative tell me 10 years from now? 20? Probably the same thing! Its sad.

  our poor little brookie (whyamihere) got her poor little finger slammed in the door by my adorable grandson tonight (accidently of course).

  she had to go to the hospital and get big needles stuck in her finger to releave the pressure and is now enjoying the benefits of pain medication.

  i'm sure she could use some well wishes as fingers are very important and so is my lovely brookie (whyamihere).

  POOH BEAR! Does that mean you cant come and play on the computer?

  Been there done that, know how it hurts like a bugger. My daughter did that a few months ago....and it ripped her nail completely off. Eww

  yes, there are several of us that either have to go to the crap-assed assembly this year, or simply because we plan on taking notes and posting them here.

  knowing how bloody boring the entire thing is, i've made some tips up on how you can keep awake during the 2007 borefest:are you really going to the assembly this year?

  are you ready to fall asleep by 10:05am when the opening song and prayer are over?
