  The Horsemen of the Apocalipse NOW!!!

  it takes only a few minutes watching cnn to realize that the 4 horsemen of the apocalipse are riding back again.

  who knows this time what the outcome of their riding will be.

  undoubtedly however, this will turnout to be again good numbers for the wt this year.

  I used to waste my time watching news looking for evil bad news to fill my head with too. Then I woke up and realized how disrespectful it was to throw the gift of life I have been given back into God's face that way. Go out and enjoy your life. Stop focusing on the bad and look for the good in life! Amazingly enough, you get what you focus on, and you are obviously focusing on the negative. If you are looking for bad, you will find it. Stop wasting the gift of life that God gave you on "doomsday" prophesy and take a look at the beauty and good that is just waiting to be discovered all around you.

  i know of very few people that helped bring people in the "truth".

  even those who concentrated on their own families usually realize that their children do not want the "truth".

  most publishers were disorganized with regard to their return visits and house-to-house records.

  Oh right....honest little buggers to be sure. HA! That is such a laugh! How honest any kid is depends on how astute the parents are at catching them at something, or alternatively how good they are at lying. They are either omitting whatever it is they do not want to tell, or are one of the "talented" ones who could sell anything to anyone who couldn't see their true self. There was a kid in our hall who was downright evil, and just about every other kid knew it. But he was one of those that played both sides. He was Mr. Teen Pioneer who did EVERYTHING right, but had porn under his bed and smoked, drank, stole if the urge hit him, set people up by roping them into doing something wrong so that if he ever got caught, he would have something to bring the other person down with. But to most of the powers that be, he was a perfect spiritual example. He is still a slime to this day. He married a really sweet girl, who he cheats on and treats like crap. BUT he is MR. Ministerial Servant now who goes on sheparding calls with Daddy. A real "example" to everyone of an honest "youth" who progressed down the right path.

  i'm reading while i eat while i'm in bed while i'm at work in the bathroom!!

  in the second study article of the june 1, 2003 watchtower, discussing how jehovah's witnesses should react when "gog of magog" (satan the devil) attacks them just before armageddon, page 21, paragraph 16 says, in part:.

  how will god's servants react?.

  "as never before, true christians will then need to place their confidence in fellow worshipers authorized by jehovah and his reigning king to take the lead.

  This is exactly the kind of vague directive that makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. I agree with whoever said that it seems to be setting up for "new light" in terms of a change in leadership- and the possibility of a major one. It also contains the usual threat of impending disaster for whoever is unwilling to go along with whatever new arrangement they will reveal down the line. And, interestingly enough, it claims that those in charge will be directly authorized by "Jehovah and his reigning King to take the lead". So I guess they are again inspired prophets with a concrete line of communication if they are going to claim direct authorization.

  Assembly Invite

  my sister and i were talking yesterday, and she shared with me a bit of a letter she received from a girl that she was friends with growing up.

  my sister, like me, left more than 6 years ago and will never ever go back.

  people have left me alone, but my sister gets lots of invitations to go back.

  My sister and I were talking yesterday, and she shared with me a bit of a letter she received from a girl that she was friends with growing up. My sister, like me, left more than 6 years ago and will never ever go back. People have left me alone, but my sister gets lots of invitations to go back. (She happens to live a few towns away from the regional assembly hall) In this letter, this girl told my sister about the assembly next weekend and generously offered the following: "You could sit with me, and even help me clean the bathrooms afterwards!" I told my sister that I couldn't see how on earth she could possibly want to pass up such a privy-ledge (yes, bad pun intended) as sitting through torturous hours of an assembly AND cleaning up other peoples pee to boot! This girl that wrote the letter is very sweet and the perfect witness - not an independent thought in her head or a bad bone in her body. But my sister and I had a great laugh over the fact that it was written to imply that it would be a great way to spend a weekend.

  That was one of my main struggles with the whole thing. Why were we created with that free will and being constantly reminded of the need for a "bible trained conscience" to help us make wise choices if some person or publication existed to tell us exactly what was and was not permissible? What was the point of the farce of personal study if we were incapable of making the right decision even with the "spiritual food" we were being given in such abundance? It never made sense to me that we were required to allow a collective conscience to rule our every action. Guess that is why I didn't fit in - not "humble" enough to accept that someone else should dictate my private and personal decisions.

  An older sister in our hall was at a door, and the householder was being very difficult, and in the midst of her attempting to speak to this woman, her skirt fell down around her ankles. It was one of those wrap around ones that tied on the side, but rather than it be blamed on her ability to tie the skirt, it was of course blamed on demons, because that is the only reason that her skirt could POSSIBLY fall down around her ankles in front of such an adversarial person. Yup, the demons like to strip old ladies in the street!
