A child raised in the sheltered way of life as a witness is likely incapable of making any kind of life time commitmentor mature decision before the age of 25, in my opinion.

Yes..I have been on medication for about 5 months now. I was on BP medication with my last pregnancy, and it seems that the high readings just didn't go away after that. I can say that virtually all of my headaches, which were frequent and severe, are gone now, and I don't feel so lethargic and tired all the time since starting the medication, or at least no more tired that having a very active 3 year old always feels! It has helped a lot. Now I am trying to lose 20 lbs and hopefully get off the medication.
I found a good bp chart that I have saved here on my computer. If you PM me with your email, I can send it to you. I don't remember where I found it.
With medicine, I run 118/75 or within that range. Without it, I was in the 155/95 range or higher. I still read high in the doctors office, even with medication.

The cruelty against me can be classified as fair or unfair?
by ann in Texas infirst excuse my spelling throughout this piece.this issue has a lot of back history that is needed to understand it, so please bear with the long summary.. i am currently still a jehovah witness, on paper; i have not attended a meeting for over 6 months.
i was reproved about 7 months ago.
because i questioned their actions, and i had influence over others.

Completely intrusive and out of line, in my opinion and from what you said here. Get a PO box to protect your privacy, or better yet, move. Yikes on them being able to stare right into your house!

How can you have every other weekend and every other week in the summer from such a distance? Take it from someone who pays the airfares for a long distance commute for a child- it is extremely expensive, and you would be doing it for 3 of them between Washington and Wisconsin?
I think in your case being close by would be a benefit, especially if you want to have any kind of influence at all over their upbringing, which you have to have to be able to teach them to think. You can't have a great influence from a distance over the daily indoctrination they are facing. -

I was just in Gilroy - it smells like garlic year round. It actually smells really good- like the constant smell of garlic bread. I haven't been to the garlic festival, but one year maybe we will be up there at that time of year.

Do antidepressants really work? or placibo?
by boy@crossroads ini've posted on freeminds for over a year now but i rarely post on the medical treatment forum.
i believe i've had depression or some other milder form of depression for many months but i haven't gotten antidepressants for a couple of reasons 1.pride- i feel that taken antidepressants is admittion that i'm weak, 2. fear- i don't have health insurance and i'm afraid of the financial reprocussions of prescriptions and mental healthcare visits.
3. i'm also afraid that by taking the medication it will have no affect (wasted money) or that i will be worse off after taking them than if i had done nothing.. give me some of your thoughts.

Definitely not a placebo. Everyone is individual though, so what works for one person may not work for another. I am currently on Cymbalta, and it is doing absolute wonders for me in all areas. I have a family to care for, and I can't do that if I am crying all the time, don't want to get out of bed, etc.
It took me a long time to admit that I needed some medical help (for the reasons mentioned such as pride) But when it came down to quality of life vs. continuing to suffer and having my family watch me suffer, quality of life won out. Yes, they are expensive without insurance, and sometimes even with it. But that is why doctors have free samples. Talk to your doctor.
I also believe in natural supplements, but they can take longer to be effective and in my opinion are not generally enough for severe depression, You usually see results in 2-3 weeks with an antidepressant. Talk to your doctor and get the help you need. It is well worth it to be able to enjoy life rather than suffer through it.
