Welcome
:-)
so i just registered and i thought i should say something about myself instead of just lurking about.
i'm 21 years old and i left the the jw's when i was 18. i was born into the religion so it's been really hard getting use to things.
my story is pretty complicated and for some safety reasons i can't say to much.
Welcome
:-)
i'd probably have a pretty well stocked backyard machine shop, complete with lathe(s), milling machine, welding gear, etc.
i'm a fitter and turner by trade, so it kind of makes sense...
I'd have a recording studio built from the ground up, complete with video edit suite in addition to full tilt digital audio
untitled document <!-- .style1 {font-family: verdana} --> time is on my side having been one of jehovah's witnesses it always seemed that there .
was never enough time to do all the things that needed to be done in life.. now, that my life is not so structured and revolved around preparing for.
meetings, study and service my focus is on finishing my college degree.. what about you and your time?
What do you do with your time now that you are no longer a Witness?
Everything that a free person should do
a point of great controversy at times.
sometimes posters are restricted or even denied privilage of this board.. some are quick to condemn such actions, others are quick to applaude it.
this is after all a former witness board.
Apologists - how should we treat them here?
with open arms
your all apostates!..every last,god forsaken,one of you..you`ve left jehovah..thats why your all,so unhappy!
!...outlaw
Yeah, sucks to be your own person,....
;-)
slowly and progressively, or rapidly after a specific date?.
Not in our lifetime,....
since most of us on this board have left the org for one reason or another, do you still feel a sense of spirituality to the great spirit?.
if so how?
if not why?.

i'm almost 51. lately i've "seen" things differently.
i don't know if i can express it properly, but i thought this forum might be a good place to start.. .
when i was in art class in 10th grade, i had a wonderful teacher, mrs. brown, who once upon a lazy warm day, showed us how to start a picture with a center: circle, square, whatever.
Which is probably why truly creative people seem to tend toward alcoholism or drug addiction to help them access their inner muse.
;-)
Well maybe not exclusively.
Great post. Spread the word
i get the feeling the society is gonna suffer a huge loss of number, with people who are in getting old, those 'raised' in the so called truth leaving and less and less interested ones because more people are aware.. .
it has its ups and downs but it seems the ups aren't as big as they used to, some never recovered from 1975 and others from the 1995 generation thingy.. your thoughts?.
more of the same
my daughter has been 'going out' with a black gentleman for the last year.
they are very much in love by the looks of things and have long term plans.. however, opposition has recently come from somewhere i did not expect.
it turns out that he has been very upset with his mother since she made several unpleasant remarks to him.
much the same as the others at a level that counts?
