No reaction, I just smile, and say "What's up?" I'll talk to just about anyone.
I had a JW call the other day (phone witnessing) I let her give her spill, and at the end she mentioned the home bible study.
That's when i told her "been there done that" But we continued to talk about diffrant issues, I told her I had DAed myself, and I was surprised that she didn't try to end the conversation.
I'm getting ahead of myself, actually what happened before I told her I DAed myself, is, I asked her if she was calling from the local KH "yes" she answered, well I didn't reconize her voice, so I figured she was new to the cong. I knew she was using the phone book to make her calls and that she started with the letter "A" it just so happens, so does my name.
So I told her to show who ever was in the room with her my name, I could hear her talking with some one, But I don't know who.
any way she kept right on talking with me, and we actually had a very nice, but strange conversation.
Well as we conversed I realized, she wasn't your regular JW so I asked her if she was the COs wife, she said "no, but close",
she said a little higher, that she was the DOs wife. I'm not kidding, I started to laugh, I couldn't believe it, OH, and at that time I believe I was on this board talking with Gumby. ( you, Bastard ) LOL
We talked for probably, 20-30 min. was able to ask her opinion on certain issues ( U.N. involment and others ) No real answer or opinion.
But, all in all it was interesting to say the least.
So my reaction in most cases ( unless in a hurry or something) is I'll talk if they will, I have nothing to be ashamed of concerning what I believe.
I try to be friendly and helpful to everyone, that's my nature.

Eat a Placenta?
by skeeter1 inimagine, you are tom cruise/chruch of scientology publicist.
you have a public relations problem - the public thinks tom & his group are wacked out, cult members.. then, tom cruise says to a reporter that he's ready to eat the placenta of his new child after it births.. lol!
this really helps the church of scientology/tom's next movie's popularity.. i realize that today's fathers don't want to wait in a waiting room with a cigar.

4/20 - smoke'em if ya got'em
by BrendaCloutier inaccepted origin
, high times magazine, the marijuana-logues, and the straight dope claim that in the early 1970s, a group of teenagers at san rafael high school in san rafael, california used to meet every day after school at 4:20 p.m. to smoke marijuana at the water tower.
one piece of evidence supporting an origin of the term from the time 4:20 is the fact that the number is always said "four twenty" and not "four hundred twenty.

Now, as far as the rest of you go. I have just always found it amazing how quick one gets stepped on for voicing an opinion that goes against the common train of thought. I have lurked here for years, before I posted, and it has always amazed me that those that claim to be the most tolerant are actually the least.
I agree! OpenFireGlass said:

Hello All, this is a little poem I thought was funny.
THE PLAN
Law and Money
In the beginning, there was the Plan to make Money.
And then came the Assumptions.
And the Assumptions were without form.
And the Plan was without direction.
And darkness and gloom was upon the faces of all the lawyers.
And they spoke among themselves saying,
"This lack of money is a crock of crap, and it stinks."And the lawyers went unto their State Bar Convention and said all,
"It is a pail of dung, and we can't live with the smell."And the State Bar Convention members went unto their State Bar Directors saying,
"It is a container of excrement, and it is very strong, such that none may abide by it."And the State Bar Directors went unto their State Bar Officers saying,
"It is a vessel of fertilizer, and none may abide its strength."And the State Bar Officers spoke among themselves, saying to one another,
"It contains that which aids plant growth, and it is very strong."And the State Bar Officers went to parties with the Supreme Justices saying unto them,
"It promotes larger growth, and it is most powerful."And the Supreme Court Justices went to the Legislature saying unto them,
"This new plan will actively promote growth and the vigor of the state with very
powerful effects benefiting all in the fields of law and justice."And the legislature looked upon the Plan, and all declared that it was good.
And the Plan thus became Public Policy and was written down as Statute Law.
And the Executive signed the law and directed that it be sent forth to the Police.
And the Police acting now as Law Enforcement Officers arrested the common people for alleged violations of these Statute Laws mandating compliance with the Plan.
And the common people hired expensive lawyers to defend their liberty, money and property in all of the numerous trial court cases concerning violations of the Plan.
And the lawyers took these cases before the corrupt judges who then removed the liberty, money and property from all the common people who appeared in court.
And in this system, the common people submitted unto the lawyers and the judges until all the people were trained to obey, without question, this Plan of their legal masters.
And as Planned, the common people now continuously paid money to the lawyers and the judges until all the people's wealth was spent and they were left as poor as shit.
And this is legally -- HOW SHIT HAPPENS.
Hope you found this humorous.

Current GBNone of the 1975 GB left
by AuldSoul init just dawned on me that not one single person from the governing body of 1975 is on the governing body today.. here are a few other facts about the current gb:.
geoffrey jackson was 20 years old in 1975, he was not at risk of being drafted for viet nam because he was too young at the time.. sam herd and guy pierce were 21 the year sputnik was launched.. gerrit losch was 20 at the dawn of flower power and the free love era in the united states.
of course, his circumstances were very different in the country in which he was located.. david splane, stephen lett, and anthony morris were all of an age to be at risk for the viet nam draft.. a brief rundown of historical context for 7 of the 10 current gb members.

WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO BELIEVE NOW?
by bubble ini've been disfellowshipped for 4 years now (for loose conduct - lol) .

Wecome to the board Bubble,
what am I supposed to believe now?
That's the "Million Dollar" question, first start believing in yourself, don't worry what you should believe about anything else.
I know that I believe in Jesus
And apply the word's Jesus spoke at Matt 22: 36-40 (The Message)
36 "Teacher, which command in God's Law is the most important?"
37 Jesus said, ""Love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence.' 38 This is the most important, the first on any list.
39 But there is a second to set alongside it: "Love others as well as you love yourself.'40 These two commands are pegs; everything in God's Law and the Prophets hangs from them."
Bubble, regardless what you believe, or are told to believe, these two things above is a starting place.
And you do NOT need to be any religion to practice these in your life.Acadian

Where did the first Sin happen?
by JH inas far as i'm concerned, the first sin occured in heaven, when satan rebelled against god, not in the garden of eden.. god knowing this, shouldn't he have warned adam and eve that satan would tempt them.
since in revelation 12:12 it's written: .
woe for the earth and for the sea, because the devil has come down to you.

Instead of passing the buck, maybe the one who is all knowing and created all things, is the one where the first sin happen.
If I make a faulty product, am I not responcible for it's poor quality and performance, remember were like clay in the potter's hands.

Hey all,
Mary said:
And if they try reading that scripture where Jesus said "...I have other sheep which are not of this fold, these I must also bring", point out the surrounding verses. He's talking about bringing the Gentiles into the fold, because didn't Jesus say that his mission was to preach to the House of Israel?
Come on Mary, putting scriptures in context! that's just not right, you will only confuse your typical JW by showing what the scriptures really say.....sheeeeesh
UncleBruc said:Well it don't matter what Unclebruc said...LOL........

Be ready to raise eyebrows. Express amazement that they don't want to get resurrected, that you never heard of a Christian church where the members didn't want to get resurrected. (John 6:53, 54, 58)
I looked at this scripture in "New LIght" the other day, after another poster made a comment about it.
My conclusions are in bold letters....
(John 6:52-59) 52
Therefore the Jews began contending with one another, saying: "How can this man give us his flesh to eat?" 53 Accordingly Jesus said to them: "Most truly I say to YOU, Unless YOU eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, YOU have no life in yourselves. 54 He that feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has everlasting life, and I shall resurrect him at the last day; 55 for my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. 56 He that feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood remains in union with me, and I in union with him. 57 Just as the living Father sent me forth and I live because of the Father, he also that feeds on me, even that one will live because of me. 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. It is not as when YOUR forefathers ate and yet died. He that feeds on this bread will live forever." 59 These things he said as he was teaching in public assembly at Ca·per´na·um. "First, Jesus was speaking in public, for all to hear, and it's plain to see, he's saying if you don't partake of his flesh and blood (the emblems) you wont be resurrected at the last day, you wont be in union with him, and you wont have any life in yourselves
WLG, JWs try to say that this scipture is talking about the "Anointed" the little flock, and that the other sheep that Jesus was talking about benifit from association with the "Anointed" class. Ask them to show you where in the bible it says this.
When Jesus was speaking he was speaking for all to hear, he wasn't making class d istinction.
Yes, Jesus went to the Jews first, then the Gentiles. But All, still have to partake to recieve the benifit's mentioned in John 6:52-59But every "Memorial" JWs deny Christ by not partaking. Which ironically, is a satanic ritual....Hmmm.

Amazing how im an apostate because I was researching from the societies lit. the man who started this cult.
Same thing happened with our family, doing honest research and the elders told us to stop, could lead to apostacy. OMG!
I find it funny whenever you had a question the elders would tell you to look it up.
So, what do we do we take the elders advice and start looking things up and then when we start telling some brothers and sisters the info we
found we were told to stop or our research could lead to apostacy. But that's the JW way they tell you one thing, then they turn around and tell you some thing else. Flip/flop

My way of getting back at "The Man"-What do you think?
by CaptainSchmideo ini read a little while back about taking postage paid envelopes of junk mailers and sending them back filled with other junk mail.... i had an extremely wicked idea-.
i have a scanner, and a whole stack of envelopes.
i can make a very good reproduction of the face of their envelope, and print my own.. now, not only do i get to waste their employees time (and employee time=company's money), now i can waste their postage as well!.

Sounds Great !
Just don't get caught, in the US postal fraud of that nature has a penalty of $10,000.00, 10 yrs in federal prison or both.
I worked for US Postal service for 10 yrs and they don't take to kindly to that.
In this case it would be using their return envelopes. But I think it's a great idea, I'm personally tired of having pay to throw their trash away.
I've thought of the same idea, just didn't think of using their own envelopes. LOLAcadian
