JW, did you notice who Jesus was speaking to, the Jew's? And did you notice, Jesus said " Unless YOU eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, YOU have no life in yourselves. their is no mention of, differant classes of people.
So, question? if at the kingdom hall on the night of the memorial, those who pass the emblems, without partaking, are they not in fact denigning Christ? By passing the emblems and not partaking, are we not in fact denigning Christ, and the covenant arrangement, and where does that leave us? Jesus said: "He that feeds on this bread will live forever"... so how are we to "live forever" if we don't do as Jesus commanded, to eat his flesh and drink his blood ??? I believe this scripture shows what we are, when we denign Chist by rejecting those emblems.(1 John 2:22-23) 22

Today in Denver--immigrant protests
by Brigid inwell, things promise to get pretty nutty here in denver.
there is going to be a purported 50,000 plus march on the capital so downtown will be effectively shut down.
so far, i've not had any problem whatsoever receiving my goods and services (so far, i've purchased gas, coffee, and taken my car to the shop), so i've not experienced a total shut down of the city, as promised.

Yeah... and I bet the locals said the same thing when our fore father's got off the boats at Plymouth way back when. And look at the way we treated them after we got here, so we better get those immigrants, before they do to us like we did to them. God led me to the JW congregation.
by jw ini rented a house in the late !970's and the contents in the home were given to me.. it happened to be books: ( making my life happy, revelation, children bible stories, listening to the great teacher ) i was enjoying the reading.. -----------------------------------.
a few years later began to notice awake magazines in doctor offices, and other public places and read them and enjoyed them.. ------------------------------------.
late 1980's my 7th son was 2 yrs.

Anyone do Charity work?????
by whyamihere inthere is a few things that i am involved in, and have been for quite sometime.
i feel that it is important to raise my children in this type of environment, so that they see outside of the box, and not be so closed minded on our surroundings.
many are in need, and it is easy to close our eyes and forget.. my main charity work will always benefit children.. this weekend i have gathered many things from my house such as kids clothes, shoes, jackets...and i bought many blankets, cook ware, along with money etc... this will all go to easter seals.

Hi Brooke, I'm not sure this is charity work but what I do is buy Mini Storage units,
When people don't pay the bill they get put up for auction. Buying storage units is like going on a treasure hunt, you never know what you will find. And you do find some real treasures in those units, but a few things you find a lot of are clothes of all types, kids toys, house hold items like pots & pans. Quite a lot of house hold stuff, furniture you name it. What I do is keep the most valuble to sell, and then give the rest away, like clothes, kitchen and house hold items, and funiture The way I give my stuff away is, either though yard sales or take it to differant charities in the area.
But I don't just give my stuff free to anybody, when a exspensive car with nicely dressed people ( JWs ? ) get out I charge them, If a family shows up who obvisously are in need they get stuff for free. and it works out for everyone. The best part is meeting the people who are really in need of some help, to see families whole attitudes change when they can find things they need, and the faces of the kids is priceless when they get a toy or something. If "We the People" don't take it upon ourselves to "boycott" then nothing will happen. I don't personally believe it's governments responsibility to tell any company to lower it's profit, or wage/salarey for it's employee's or CEOs IF you think the product is too high in price, don't buy it. "Oh no" you say, we have no alternatives to oil, Well, who's fault is that? The oil companies or you and me for paying their price, and not demanding alternatives in the first place. Like hydrogen, ethol alcohol, the list goes on...
Let's have a "Nation/World no Drive Day" and see what happens. Sadly, most will continue to complain and do nothing. The All-Mighty Dollar will speak louder than any petition will. The other alternative is, GET A BIKE ! LOL Acadian ~~~~~~ of the you can't squeeze blood out of a turnip class ~~~~~~~
