what happens when we die... it's what all religions base their power on. swaying people with fear or hope so that they follow their doctrines.

I agree, Candidly....I'm not sure, but I'm leaning towards there being an after-life...somewhere in the bible it says that when a man dies, his soul returns to God, or something to that effect, does it not? Where does God put that soul? In a filing cabinet? In a closet? I believe the soul lives on...the fleshly body may be dead, but the life force, the spirit is still alive .....

Whatever the case may be, I'm living life to it's fullest, and not worrying anymore about death....it's coming eventually.

well, i called my father this saturday.. i havn't talked to him for a year and a half.

when i talked to him at that time i said my goodbyes and told him we would probably never see or talk to each other again because of his stand.. he got choked up a bit over that comment and said, "don't say that.

" i said, well unless you decide to change matters that will be how it will be.. so, i was able to tell him i love him and he told me he loved me too.

Do you have some girlfriends you can go out with, just window shop, have a light lunch, a glass of vino? Spend an afternoon just chatting, or go to the movies...You have to keep yourself busy. This way, you have less time to dwell on the negative things that are happening in your life. There will always be bills, so don't sweat them, pay what you can.

Chin up sweetie. It WILL get easier for you. I promise.

Did Anybody Here Ever Want To Go To Heaven?

It never appealed to me either. Even as a witness, I'd think about those of the remnant, and a sister I knew who was one, and wonder how they could be so happy to be going to heaven, when they were leaving behind their mates and/or children, and never see them again, in the "new system".

It didn't sound fun to me.

My Dad

i've never really mentioned my real dad or our relationship but since we've just passed fathers day i thought i would.. the man mum lives with now is my stepdad who i've never seen eye to eye with until these recent months and despite the pain he caused me in the past i feel that i should look out for him now (he's quite a bit older than my mum, in his mid 50's now...not necessarily old but he had a stroke and his mental state isnt what i would describe as normal).

with him i've been on an emotional journey because i can finally move on from the problems he caused and even use my experiences for the better.

megan has played her part in this of course in more ways than one, her stepdad died recently and she didnt have the chance to forgive the things he did properly and it hurts her, i dont want that.

Little Noah in a sense is going to benefit from the type of things we all went through because even though we've suffered we LEARN and we have all become stronger for it.

You have leaned to rise above your suffering, good on you mate! You are the better man here. Too many others don't and the cycle of abuse continues. Your father will grow up to be a very lonesome man, and someday, he may have lots of regrets. It's sad really.

You are already the father, your father, never was, and maybe never could be. Noah is a lucky little man....He will be raised in a loving environment, and is a WANTED baby by both of his parents. Best of wishes to you and Megan.

when i go to get my hair cut, i have a series of very specific lengths that different parts of my hair are supposed to be cut.

today i went to new place and told the girl exactly what to do... this long here... that long there... watch out for the tricky cowlick over here... etc.... did she listen?

no.. instead she got this very intense look on her face and started going at it.

or is it "have a garage sale and they will come" the hollywood horror movie?

i don't recall seeing it, but sure enough, hang a garage sale sign out and you will get them, all dressed up carrying book bags with a casually rolled up watchtower trying to place it to distract you while the other one tries to throw you off by offering 10 cents instead of 25 cents for your junk.

I love garage sales, but haven't been to one yet this year. I've been too busy.The last time I was in service, (over 9 years ago), stopping by garage sales during service, was highly frowned upon.

Three years ago, there I was at a sale, it was a little past nine a.m. and who drove up, but the P.O. and his carload.....my guess is, they started their time at the sale....what gives? They change their own rules to suit their own purposes?!....oh! I know! The light got brighter????? I just laughed.....

here's another joke....

Two aliens landed in the Arizona desert near a gas station that was closed
for the night. They approached one of the gas pumps and the younger alien
addressed it saying, "Greetings, Earthling. We come in peace. Take us to
your leader."
The gas pump, of course, didn't respond. The younger alien became angry at
the lack of response and the older alien said, "I'd calm down if I were
you."
The younger alien ignored the warning and repeated his greeting. Again,
there was no response.
Annoyed by what he perceived to be the pump's haughty attitude, he drew his
ray gun and said impatiently, "Greetings, Earthling. We come in peace. Do
not ignore us this way! Take us to your leader or I will fire!"
The older alien warned his comrade saying, "You don't want to do that! I
don't think you should make him mad."
"Rubbish," replied the cocky, young alien. He aimed his weapon at the pump
and opened fire. There was a huge explosion. A massive fireball roared
towards them and blew the younger alien off his feet and deposited him a
burnt, crumpling mess about 200 yards away in a cactus patch.
About a half hour passed. When he finally regained consciousness, he
refocused his three eyes and straightened his bent antenna and looked
dazedly at the older, wiser alien who was standing over him shaking his big,
green head.
"What a ferocious creature!" exclaimed the young, fried alien. "He damn
near killed me! How did you know he was so dangerous?"
The older alien leaned over, placed a friendly feeler on his crispy friend
and replied, "If there's one thing I've learned during my intergalactic travels,
you don't want to mess with a guy who can wrap his penis around himself
twice and then stick it in his ear."

Satan replies: "Hey things are going great. We've got air conditioning and flush toilets and escalators, and there's no telling what this engineer is going to come up with next."

God replies: "What??? You've got an engineer? That's a mistake - he should never have gotten down there; Send him up here immediately."

Satan says: "No way. I like having an engineer on the staff, and I'm keeping him."

God says: "Send him back up here or I'll sue."
