  Here's your hat, what's your hurry ????? Who asked you anyways??? you obviously haven't read enough about the lives of some here.....and it's also obvious that you wouldn't give a damn anyways...you sound like a self-centered, shite-disturbing son-of-a-gun, who has not experienced ANY hardships at all in life....this is a place where people can come, throw their burdens off, and vent...in order to continue on a road to happiness...some are bitter, yes, but then again they have good reason to be....but after sharing, it helps to relieve it....then again, you would not understand this, my friend....you seem to have no feelings for your fellow human beings....it's a shame you left the organization, you display the kind of caring qualities they desire in elder and MS material.....go find some other board to disrupt, cause we don't need your kind here....

  Klansman Konvicted ... Does Anyone Here Care?

  philadelphia, mississippi (cnn) -- forty-one years to the day three civil rights workers were ambushed and killed by a ku klux klan mob, a jury found former klansman edgar ray killen guilty of all three counts of manslaughter tuesday.

  curious as to jwd'ers reactions.... how do you feel about the verdict?

  should it have been murder?

  He should have been convicted of murder 40 years ago, and thrown in prison to rot....now, he's lived his life, however wonderful it was, and he's old, with one foot in the grave....maybe this prison sentence will be the thing that pushes him over the edge???? What a disgrace....but, like the others before me have said, better late than never.I hope he lives to suffer a few years in the hole.

  Question for Jehovah's witnesses?

  i was reading through a christian forum and there was a thread that someone had started speaking of the trinity.

  when i say trinity i mean the father, son, and holy ghost\spirit trinity.

  anyrate, sose about a hundred or so post into that thread someone mentioned that jehovah's witnesses don't believe in the trinity.

  i am interested in jehovah witness theology, and i at this time write to a jewish news group.

  many of my jewish friends are starting to belive in the new testement.

  i was hoping that someone could reply to my public post below, so that me and my jewish friends can understand why we should become jehovah witnesses.

  Whats the deal with fading.

  i'm not trolling here or trying to upset, i'm not attacking anyone personally or trying to force my opinion on others but having read a lot of people experiences on leaving the org i really can not understand the point of fading.

  i understand that people risk losing contact with family members and friends but really what type of friend and how good a family member are they if they are willing to shun you for not holding the same beliefs?.

  a bit of background might be in order here.

  I faded because I no longer wanted to be associated with the JW religion. I had been DF'd twice in my younger years, and reinstated both times.....I know the feeling of being shunned and I wanted to be able to have some contact with my family....I just simply quit going, and guess what? The JW's shunned me anyways, but that means nothing to me, my true friends still will speak, the rest can bite me. I can see my family when I want, but that usually means I'll get a preaching to, but when I can handle it, I visit. I vowed that the JW religion would not DF me again....they would not have that kind of power over me . I am a human, deserving of respect, the kind they refuse to give....who are they,???? I want no part of their bull$#%& anymore.....and I am much happier, and FREE. Also, it's easier on my family, that I faded and was not DF'd yet again...(.that's a downer for them as well)

  In one congregation I was in as a teen, some of the worst kids were the elders kids...two of them were the biggest dope dealers by day, and gave the best impromptu talks by Thursday night....and I remember a talk about that once, where the elder said, that it was because Satan was after the elders families, as they were leading the congregations....if he could "get" them, he could penetrate the congregation....(pardon the pun) ...and yes, there was a lot of promiscuity back then, and now...things haven't changed, except for the kids are a wee bit sneakier maybe?? I dunno..but I always knew I didn't want to marry a JW....ewwwwwwww. ..boring.

  I'm thinking about getting a TATTOO?!

  what do ya'all think about this...'somewherelse' inquired as to whether my froggy avitar was in fact a tattoo that i'd had done, and it's got me thinking about it!

  i'm normally fairly opposed to body art, well for myself anyway.

  if you are going to get a tatt, i believe it should be something very personal, and very well thought out over a long period of time.

  I say, go for it Frog...especially the frog tattoo...it means something..Tattoos are pretty much permanent, unless you want to spend thousands to have the meaningless ones removed later on...my husband has had a few tatt's that he is ashamed of...I will get one soon, my first...something celtic, knotwork or something, ties in with my roots.....my daughter has three, very nice tattoos that she designed, all done in black...the place you put them is also important....so think it thru thoroughly...then do it!!!! and show us the pics....

  the witnesses say that they put the kingdom first in their lives, and that the rest of the world puts pleasures and money and sex first.. a kind of black and white picture of them and the world.. so, you evil people .

  My family's happiness, health and welfare, are my priorities....something was constantly neglected while a part of the mind-controlling BoRg.....my brother was striving to become an elder a few years back, while his children were small, and he can't believe how much time he wasted, and actually missed his their childhood, because he was chasing the proverbial carrot ....so, as long as my kids are healthy, and happy, and the husband as well, that's all that matters to me. The sex and money things are very important too, I LOVE to have lots of both..heh heh heh.

  Dubs are the WALKING DEAD

  lately i've just been getting contacted quite a bit by depressed zombie like cultist's.

  i thought i would welcome being contacted by dubs after i da'ed but i actually really find it annoying!

  they all drop comments like "nothing ever changes.." "i don't really go to the meeting's that much.." "i'm just so bored.." "if i didn't have meetings i could go back to school" "brother shitbag is a jerk.. i'm so sick of him.." "the elders treat me like a child" blah blah blah.

  Scully, you are so right....if people like my father, and my husband's mother were to leave the borg, they would have NO social life or ties....so they carry on, doing what they do best...and complain the whole time...sad, really....in the borg, the people there are supposed to try to show love to all, we know how this really works...but also, in the in-law's case, she can bully her way around, and use people...which she is a master at....they don't seem to catch on as quickly as someone "out of the borg", would....crazy con artist... so, in her case, i guess she has no cares, and no belief in the god they call jehovah...she simply carries on..

  Gumby, I have asked those same questions a thousand times....when I was a dub, I wasn't perfect....but I knew what was required of me as such...I could not understand why my husband's mother and her husband could lie, cheat, steal, mentally abuse whomever came into their presence...and show up at EVERY meeting, go in the field service, entertain the elders, PO's,CO's, and whoever else they knew that held some kind of prominence in the borg.....Did they think Jah did not see them??? did they think he wouldn't care what they were doing??? and when I detail how they act, I'm NOT exaggerating one bit....they've made a career from being thieves....and her husband served as an elder at one time....I don't get it...maybe they DO think they can hide ....now, I don't give a rat's a$$ what they do, we have nothing to do with them at all.....it's craziness....,....I think people like this lie to themselves about what they are doing, ...that's the only way they can live with themselves I guess..
