i would like to say hello and introduce myself.

i have read this forum for a while, didnt know that it existed till some one showed me it, (fellow rebel) about a year ago.

now the only way that i will get help is to go into it, something i really dont wish to do but know that i have to.

Now, you need a reason to live. Okay, it's a stretch but, for me it was often that I realised that this is it - you don't get another go if you end this life. We only get one chance to get what we want from life. The challenge is working out what that is and making it happen. Maybe you don't have sufficient value in yourself to think that you should get something out of life. I hope that you can fix that. In the meantime, brainstorm right now fifty things that you'd like to do within the next year. Then pick a few that you know can make happen.

Keep doing that for a few years, and one of them will really catch your interest. You can make that the reason to stay alive.

i have finally moved out of my home with pioneering jdub, its been a rollercoaster few days.. hence my delay getting back to jwd... .

i got glassed in town on a night out on saturday!!

(wrong place, wrong time... have stitches but am ok)... i started uni on monday.. exciting stuff!

Sexless Marriages Could Threre Be a Direct Link by Being Raised JW?

i would like start by saying i having been married twice.

the first time i married a girl who was also raised a jw, sex was great when we first got married but after a couple of years it almost completely stopped.

the marriage did not last much longer i thought it was because we just grew apart and i became uninterested.

I need some serious informational help from EVERYONE!

i am new here and i joined honestly to collect information to understand something a little better.

my boyfriend, well-now kinda boyfriend (were at a weird place) is a jehovah's witness and i am not.

he waited a little "far" into our relationship to tell me he was, which created a mess, honestly an emotional dyfunctional mess.

Also look in the 'relationships' section of the board. Every few weeks some poor guy or girl in love with a JW stumbles in here bewildered. It's always a mess, but they always think that they're different and they're the ones who will make it work.

He can't focus on a life with you until he sorts out what he wants to do with the religion. He is cheating on the religion by sleeping with you, and cheating on you by hiding you from them. Can't you see that he's playing both you and them? He may be confused about what he believes, but that's no excuse for playing you. He'll keep doing this until you realise that you want to be treated better and dump him. He'll just be relieved that you didn't cause him a problem in his other life, like when a married man breaks up with a mistress.

Are you sure that you will always be happy to be way down on his list of priorities, somewhere here:

- His religion
- His family
- His position in the congregation
- His witness friends
- His responsibilities and privileges within the congregation
- You

Are you sure you don't want to change that about him? Because it's obvious that you're not very important to him at the moment.

thanks for sharing this book with me.

although i'm sure this book is accurate and these things have happened within the governing body, it did happen a long time ago and even the "annoited" are imperfect men.. after alot of thought and prayer i chose to stay a witness- an active witness to my ability which is now limited.
