  hi everyone, stumbled across this forum by chance when looking for more info on fred titanich.

  i am an ex jw, i am 30, and grew up in the 'truth'.

  i am a 5th generation witness, my dad was an elder, my mum a regular pioneer.

  Apostafest: Apostaski 2008: Zermatt, late-November

  mr frass and i are doing our 'gap year' trip to europe late this year, and just before we head home we're going to see if we can catch the start of the winter season in zermatt (switzerland).

  the week 16-24 november is the last of the cheaper season lift tickets, but as parts of zermatt are open the whole year around there will be a lot of ground available.

  there is also the possibility of heading over the mountain to cervinia and valtourneche (italy) or chamonix.

  i was enjoying a smoke on my little porch at my apartments and my neighbors pull up.

  the woman got out, pointed her finger at me and demanded what that "thing" in my hand was.

  i proudly held up my hand with a fag in it.

  first off, i'm fine so don't go getting all worked up on my account.

  we've all heard the "6 months to live question" before.

  i'm just stretching it out a bit longer to 2 years.

  I'd tell my family they have one month to contact me and after that change my phone number and email so that I don't spend my remaining time wondering if they will. I'd cull the stuff I have around me, max the credit card travelling the world with the hubby (my super will cover that when I'm gone!). When the pain starts, I'd organise my own death. Life in agonising pain wouldn't be life for me, and I wouldn't want my hubby to watch it.

  yesterday we all met as a congreation for service at the hall.

  remeber how the km had that article about starting on time and not talking afterwards but getting right to the territory?

  Hi and welcome!

  I loved big car groups in rural territory. Some suck would always start their time by standing at the train station at 8am before the group met. I floated the idea of 'penalty rates' - counting time-and-a-half on Saturdays and double time on Sundays and public holidays. I could see that everybody I mentioned it to would be doing that from now on. ('Its the law!')

  the story was kept hushed up, much as in any 'abuse' case that goes on in the wt world but, jws don't like anything to make the wt society look bad.. one jw woman out on 'the misery', reversed into and dragged down the street another jw woman who then broke both arms, ribs, pelvis etc.

  infact, she is lucky to still be alive.

  this horror was not announced at any kh in the country and kept quiet.

  a sister had an affair while married

  if it was well known in the congregation and some elders knew also , if she had the affair before she got baptised with a disfellowshipped man would she not have to tell her husband before she got baptised ?
