california has had 4 earthquakes in the last 3 days.
so all of you still on the fence.straighten upcant be long now.

Even if the earthquakes are related to Biblical predictions, whatever happens will not be what the Jdumbers think. Funny though, when I saw the morning news today I was thinking 'Oh brother, the JWs are probably all excited right about now.'

LouBelle--I know what you mean. It seems like as time goes on, I am learning more about other countries and horrible attrocities that are a daily way of life for too many people on this earth. It's hard to maintain a belief in God of the Bible with so much suffering going on. Every day I wake up and I'm thankful my children and I are safe for the moment in our part of the world. Just my human, selfish feelings.

Attention! A friend in need has evolved!
by gringojj ini dont know if anyone else noticed this but on june 14th a friend in need was silenced from kwins post "it took only 13 hrs...." for being a pain.
i just noticed a new member that goes by the name of dennis joined on june 15th and is spitting the same pro-jw stuff that afin was.
so it appears our friend has evolved.

the group i was affiliated with demanded that full fledged members tithe (10% off the top of your income; pre-taxes), and a donation basket was also circulated at nearly every gathering in addition to tithing.
even kids were encouraged to participate; they would give them little envelopes to put loose change into and put in the basket.

I learned recently from this website, that when each congregation makes their monthly announcement of their financial affairs that a percentage--unknown to the general population of the congregation--of their so-called financial needs depend on how much money the Watchtower Society is dictating they should be sent that month. Same is true for large assemblies--they make announcements on how much in contributions they need to cover the 'cost' of the assembly, when in reality they are sending a large chunk of money to the Watchtower Society.

2005 Barbecue Is Definitely On!
by Englishman insaturday seems to be much preferred over sunday, so this years bbq will be held on saturday, july 9th, commencing around 2 pm.
location is our home in weston super mare.
as usual, the day will be very boozy and proceedings will conclude in the waverley pub.
