our son is married to a jw girl, and is slowing being sucked into the cult himself.
he knows we appose this organization and have tried to show him the falsehoods of the wts.
my question is: if he has told the elders at his kh about us (that we're against the wts)......do the elders tell him to limit his association with us??

Hi Bizzy!
You know, I have AGONIZED over what to do with our son (Married & 25 yrs old). I've wondered "do I send him stuff......or do I keep quiet?" Well, as Dawg mentioned in an earlier post....what good does that do?? If you never make any "noise" and just quietly go along with their beliefs, how are you helping them see the light???
Like I said before, we feel like we've already lost him, so why not go for the gusto? Why not send him information to try to help him see the falsehoods of the WTS? I'm not going to argue DOCTRINE with him. Just try to create doubt in his mind about the WTS. Hopefully, that doubt to grow and blossom into a full realization about the BRG.

Thanks Jaguarbass & Dawg!
We feel like we've already "lost" our son, so what have we got to loose? I mean, we are DONE tip-toeing through the tulips with him. I'm going to send him information (like you suggested, Dawg) on 1914, 607 etc. I just hope his wife doesn't see it first & throw it away before he gets to it!
This is WAR ........and the battle has just begun.

Thank you, G.Buss, Dawg & Scully!
You know what I think the REAL reason is for the WTS not wanting Witnesses to associate with unbelievers? I think it's because they're afraid the JW might find out the REAL TRUTH about the WTS! So, they strife to keep them separated from anyone who may influence them.
What an insidious group!!

No, we are not (nor have ever been JWs). What you both said is exactly what's been happening. At first, our son & wife would come visit us at our store and the Daughter-in-law would be SO SWEET and NICE to us. THEN, she found out we appose the organization. Haven't seen hide nor hair of her since. So, her "sweetness" was just an act, I guess.
Isn't that SO CONVENIENT how the WTS sets up for themselves a self-fulfilling prophesy by telling their members that family & friends will try to disuade them from joining. And when they do......the WTS says, "SEE? We TOLD you that would happen. That just proves we're RIGHT."

What about his wife who's already baptized? Do they tell her to completely avoid us??
Please help. Any info would be appreciated.

i just wanted to make one simple statement... i've heard many say that they can't get out of this bull, they just faded so they wouldn't have to deal with all the issues that are sure to arise if they use confrontation.
many have said they can't stand to lose family members and the like and that's why they've chasen to fade rather then speak out.
here's what i've lost becasue i've chosen to tell the truth about the bastards.
Dear Dawg,
I commend you for what you're doing, and at the same time my heart breaks for you because you've lost your family. That has got to be the worst! This cult claims to be family oriented, but nothing could be further from the truth!
You've encouraged me, and I'm going to speak up more to our son, who is being sucked into this organization. My husband & I have never been (or known any) JWs. We're trying to help our son (& his wife) see the light before he gets baptized.

it just struck me that a lot of what we post comes under "you couldn't make it up"!
so my questions to those of you that aren't jw's or partnered with one - why do you continue to come here, does it entertain/surprise/inform you?
if you knew no jehovah's witnesses would you still be interested?
Hi Sweetpea,
I'm not a JW, but I come here for support and information. Our son is married to a JW and is slowly being sucked into the cult. Have received lots of help from the people on this board, and it helps me deal with this situation.

was just curious.........do witnesses have to buy the stalktower and asleep magazines?
or does each kh supply them to the members for free?.
also, do they have to try to sell them to householders anymore?
