#1) i don't know when the memorial is ...... and #2) i'm planning on having a family get-together dinner at the end of this month, but i don't want to choose the evening of the memorial; because our two jw relatives wouldn't be able to attend our dinner on that day.

have a spiritual need, but so hate organized religion,,so i am so confused,,yet i use to love studying the bible,,,,dont ask me why.
Don't be afraid to visit various churches until you find one that YOU feel comfortable in. Non-denominational churches are great; typically centering their beliefs and teachings on Jesus. Since He is the Way....the TRUTH....and the Life....this is what a church should be all about. It's nice to have the fellowship with other true believers, too. They will support & encourage you.

just because someone's a witness, it doesn't mean they're horrible people.
but the religion is very strange.
when you think about it, a witness can't go to a work christmas party by themselves but if an unbelieving mate wanted his jw wife to accompany him, this is her personal business.
Why do JWs need magazines to help them interupt the Bible? When Paul wrote his letter to the Romans, for instance, did he send along a "help aid" to interupt what he had written?? Huh??

Thank you for the suggestions, but unfortunately, he's too far indoctrinated now. He won't read things like that....plus his die-hard JW wife sees to it that he doesn't.
I've been trying to lovingly ask "thought-provoking" questions to get him to THINK FOR HIMSELF. My tone is NEVER accusing or put-downish......just "curious" questions about the WTS. Questions that shows the hyposcrisy of the WTS.

i think my relative and his spouse have switched kingdom halls.
this new hall that they're attending is much farther away from their house.
why would jws leave their old hall and attend one so far away from where they live??
Wouldn't they just hound a person at their house.....or by phone?
