as we get older, sooner or later we wind up in the hospital and the question they always ask is"...in the event.. would you accept blood?
" faced with that question, i answered no.

There is no justification scripturally or mddically to refuse blood if a compitent doctor advises for it. You need to separate the issues and realize the JWs spin on both criteria is just that. Since I've donated over eight gallons of blood, I'd sure as heck take a pint or two back if it were called for...

his decision has split his family apart--the father respecting his son's decision.
his brother, jonathan, a former jehovah's witness has since launched an internet campaign calling on the government to make it illegal for a person to refuse blood transfusions on religious grounds.

The need for a GB or FD slave?

whilst it is an absolute that the years i spent in the borg were many.
at this stage of my new-life outside, i am trying to maintain a high-moral-road view of the cause/effect relationship that it had on me and my life-view.. i believe that coming to the realization that not all of witness life is evil or corrupt or even wasted, is healthier for me than a constant negative rant about what it cost me.

Who should partake of the blood and flesh?

could it be that all of should be partaking of jesus blood and flesh at the lord supper, i now do but wonder about all those who are taught not to.

JW view of Worship is the problem
by Amazing inin some private discussions with ex-jws over the years, i have boiled down some of the disagreements to a different view of what worship is or is not.
this view often unwittingly affects ex-jws, and underpins their arguments, even though they do not realize it.. to a jw, worship of jehovah is done by going out door-to-door, attending meetings, commenting, singing, and prayer.
these are acts only done to and for jehovah.. to a protestant, going door-to-door is nice, vene being at church is nice, but not worship.

I've come to believe that true worship is how we treat others. the beatitudes Jesus taught were guides to living the "christian" life and it had little to do with anything else.
