a witness just informed me about a couple that we know who had their assembly recently, and it was announced at the private elder's meeting that there will be a special meeting with all the elders in the us in patterson.
it was mentioned that we are now living "in the end of end of times" and that the un is talking about prohibiting religions.
has anyone heard of this??
Ha! The UN can't muster up a peace keeping force even when the Security Council is unanimous in agreement. Can you imagine what it would take to inforce a ban on religions in even one Islamic country, or Bhuddism in India let alone the Vatican and its vast minions.? It doesn't surprise me that the r&f jdubs fall for that stuff over and over again.

i just disassociated myself after nine long years in the wtbts after researching the history of the wtbts and its founders and their lies, false prophecies and mind-control doctrines.

anyway, i'm glad there is a wonderful support group for those who have escaped the grasp of the wtbts and enjoy life again without the constant fear that the wtbts instills at every meeting.

I've countered JWs (including family) with the refrain, "I'd love to be part of Jehovah's organization, so please prove to me with the bible the following and I will gladly harness up again........." Then lay it on to them, one at a time. If your spouse truely wants you to be "equally yoked" she will have the clear path to accomplishing her desire.. but you and I know a snowball in hell would have a better chance....

I guess it would be those I love acknowledging what I had contributed to humanity, how I made a positive influence on them. if adam had never sinned, and humanity had never been in a "fallen state", the concepts of valour and honour and heroism would not exist.....because in a perfect world there is no need for those qualities.
in the perfect world called paradise, that long promised land, there would be no challenges to develop those characteristics that even the present day jws lay claim to in their stories and tales of resistance and struggle again the "world".

one thing i hate about being a jw is all of the competition.
i've been actively fading for about several months now.
but, to make the family happy i attended a meeting about a week ago.
