Using or Abusing Thee Name
by Carmel injdubs claim to be gods sole reps on earth basically because the judge adopted the name and thus were "honoring" it.
the israelites were suposedly abandoned by god because they "dishonored his name".
yet we all know judiasm does not use or utter any "name", it is forbidden!

Crazy Middle East
by Carmel inliving in this postage stamp of a country called israel (actually palistan) it amuses me that my fellow contrymen jews and arabs are at each others thoats when both the bible and the koran prophecy that the jews will "return" to this piece of barren desert at the "time of the end".
anyone ever wonder for what reason?
if it's in the koran that the jews will be brought back by the will of god then why are they contesting their presence here?

? About Paraclete
by Carmel insince its been over four decades since i was a "witness" i don't recall what the jw thinking was concerning the johannine paraclete passages, jn 14:16,26, 15:26 and 16:7. i was in a study class last evening and was asked about the jw beliefs.
i understand that most christians accept the rendition that these promises were fulfilled at penticost, but i don't remember these scriptures playing much of a role for jw doctrin as they believed jesus had already "returned" but not in the "flesh".. anyone can help?.

What Do You Eat For Brakfast?

when i eat breakfast, i usually have one of three things, something with eggs, something sweet or just the coffee!
how much of what i injest for the start of my day is controlled by the culture i live in and the habits i have come to consider "normal"?

Defining Christianity
by Carmel init seems i constantly am confronted with those who are trying to make a "christian" out of me.
in various threads on this forum the term is used as if everyone understands what it means and there is no fuzzy edges.. i wonder if all here assume that only those that follow "jesus" are to be considered "christian"?.
consider that the title "christ" was not the name of the nazarene, only a title!

Introduction
by Carmel ini just wanted to introduce myself.
i grew up as a witness in the 50's but found that there were to many issues that i could not resolve without going "outside" to investigate.
i have never returned and have no desire to, however, about two years ago i discovered h20 and have been participating there every since.
