I was just looking at some old pictures from WTS magazines. I noticed something I cant understand. The car in the picture is a Buick Park Avenue! Why would Jehovah destroy the car he has chosen to lead his only true people in service? Something is very wrong here. Any ideas?

Honesty, or someone want to call Bethel?
by gringojj ini wish i had a way to record calls because i would do it myself.
i was thinking, what if a concerned jw called bethel with this predicament.....the dub wants to know if it is ok to accept donations from the salvation army.
the dub can say that they have always been told to donate to the world wide work, and discouraged from giving to other religous charities.

The dub can say that they have always been told to donate to the world wide work, and discouraged from giving to other religous charities. So now they are not sure what to do because they need help, but since they are unable to find any direct help from the jws, they are not sure if it is right to take from one of satans organizations. This would be very interesting. If I mad the call I would say after all of this with a real inquisitive tone...."anyways why is it that there is no visible presence of gods earthly org. here, but it is all of satans orgs that are helping people"? Thiscould be very funny.
Or the caller could pose as jw relative of someone affected by the hurricane. They could ask bethel who they should donate to because all they see on tv is the red cross and others, but no jws. They could say they want to make sure the money gets to the victims, and watch as the wts squirms because they dont have a designated fund.

Should The WTBTS Be Held Accountable?
by Honesty inshould the wtbts be held accountable for hurricane katrina relief donations even though they direct contributions be noted for 'world wide work'?.
should they be reported to the us government and, if so, for what since they claim the donations will be spent where it will 'do the most good'?
are they acting in a morally responsible manner by the way they are accepting donations for hurricane katrina disaster relief efforts?.

Honesty,
I dont think they can be held accountable because its a voluntary donation. Meaning if someone isnt sure how the momey will be spent, they dont have to donate. It might be that they run into problems because they say that they do do things for relief effort, and take a donation on that assumption. If it can be proven that they do nothing at all, that might be a problem.

I once gave the elders about 30 questions, but I did it a bit differently. If you ask open ended questions like why did? or how come? then it leaves the answer open to all sorts of spin and needs a big explanation. All but 1 of my questions were simply yes or no answers. It went kind of like this:
1. Has the WTS ever claimed to be a prophet? (This is a tough question, if they answer no, they are lying and I just have to pull out my old wt quotes to show them, if they say yes, well then thats why I asked the next question)
2. Is the WTS a true prophet? (How the hell can they answer this one now? If they say yes, then we know they are false prophets. If they say no, then they are admitting they are false prophets!)
I had 30 questions all in this format. Sometimes one question like the one above would lead into the next one, sometimes it would just be a solo question. I wish I had saved them all.
If you asked an elder the questions above, the most probably answer would be "its not that simple".
But it is. The wts simply cannot answer these simple yes or no questions. They have to spin it all around, much like politicians.
Break the questions down into the simplest forms. Its funny, the elders never answered my questions. They told my wife they felt I had been talking to apostates. Later on they told her it was "unfair" of me to ask the questions in only yes or no format.
AAWWWWWW. The poor elders. Always getting picked on by the big bad apostate bullies. Sorry I feel no pitty for them.

I think more people should call, and demand specifics about the relief effort. What will the WTS say then? Why doesnt someone bait them? Call and say that you want to donate 100,000 dollars to 10 different relief efforts, 10,000 each to the most qualified. What will the WTS say if someone wants to give them 10,000 as long as they can outline exactly where the money is going? I think this would be a great trick. I can here them now "we are doing alot right now with the relief effort, I just cant give you any specifics or account for how your donation will be spent" Thier true colors really shine in situations like these.
