i was forced to go over to the hall near my house to pick up my g-mother in laws wheelchair for the assembly.
she keeps one there that reclines for when she goes to the hall (usually once a year or so!
ha) anyway she needed it so i had to go get it!
I'll have to drive past the KH here some Sunday morning and see if there are a lot of people goofing around outside during the meeting. LOL
Can't get over that elder and his two buddies watching freaking TV in the van!!! Wonder what was on that they just couldn't miss it?
I can guarantee that if my sons went to the restroom and never came back, I'd have sent out a search party. How very odd that nobody seemed to notice that their kids were missing.

it's a series about a vampire huntress named damali richards.....if you havent heard of her or this series, if you like anne rice and buffy then you'll love it...i was just trying to see if there were any other junkies out there besides me...
I've read a couple of her books. I enjoyed them, but they were a bit darker than I like (yes, I'm more into a happier variety of vampire stories. lol).
You might also like Kim Harrison's books which take place in a world of vampires, fairies, witches and other supernaturals. Her protagonist is a witch/bounty hunter. Good Stuff.

When you are in a relationship (flawed tho it may be), it's hard to look at it objectively. Hiding you from the JW side of his life is huge, but if you are willing to be kept as a guilty secret, that is your choice.
Perhaps if you find out more about what JW's believe and the fallacies in their religion, you will be able to help your man break free. Who knows? ...it could happen.

some people believe that the gb of the jws are a bunch of well meaning but naive and ignorant individuals who do not really mean to cause the harm they do cause in the r & f and they may not even be aware of it.
i personally disagree with that and believe that everything they do is based on shrewd cold blooded calculations that are meant to promote their interests, that they sold their souls to the devil as it were in exchange of a huge intoxicating power trip.
they are fully aware of the harm they cause but their conscience is singed beyond all sensitivity.
I'm with those that think the GB, for the most part, thinks they are doing what's right. I also think that they know that there are huge problems with the religion, but they don't want to look too closely at them. It's easier to continue believing that they are favored by God and everything will come out right in the end, I'm sure.
I don't know how much these men live in the real world. I don't think most of them have the ability to step back and really look at the organization that they've given their lives to. If some have been able to do this and still remain, it's because of fear. Like Gumby said, what are they gonna do? Sell lemonade on the streets? It's easier to just go back to your rooms play some Kingdom melodies and bury your head under the covers, trusting that Jehovah will correct it in time...hopefully well after you're dead.
If there is a God, if he really takes an interest in anything that's going on on this planet, if he cares at all that these people have lied in His name, destroyed families and individuals in His name, covered up crimes in His name, sacrificed innocent lives in His name, and made a mockery of His name...if any of that matters to Him, then this "Governing Body" are judged guilty and I hope they are sentanced accordingly.
hey all for those who read my post on inlaws and how they dont respect me heres an update.
my fiance went around there last week to have a chat to them on how they dont respect me and how i dont feel a part of the family.
and to tell them how things stand with his sister(my bridesmaid who turned up 2 hours late to engagement and drunk).
I'm sorry, es. Looks like they are saying one thing to your fiance when they talk to him (we feel bad) and then change their tune when they talk to you (it's your fault). Hopefully you'll be able to get along with them enough to get through the wedding okay and then not have to have as much to do with them.

I have no great knowledge of astronomy, but I love watching shows about it on television, looking at pictures online and reading articles about it. Am also looking forward to keeping up with the "Deep Impact" project.

If your mother ever discovers the truth about the troof, rest assured she will be deeply sorry for all the pain she put her children through. Even if she remains a JW for the rest of her life, I would imagine that at some point she'll regret not being kinder to you.
