  Anybody else have this announced? Special Meeting on Friday night

  all baptized brothers asked to come to special meeting friday (tomorrow) at 7pm.

  bring the new organized book.. don't know what this is all about.

  judging from past experience, a whole lot of something about nothing..... .

  my 8-year-old son asked me yesterday if i liked going to the kh.

  i told him "no, not really.

  " he said that he doesn't really like to go all the time either, but we have to go if we want to get into paradise.. i allow him to go to the kh with my parents when he wants to because he does like to go.

  Who's child is this? Yours or yours parents? I'm sorry I just don't get it when adult children allow their parents to run not only their life but their grandchilds as well. I also cannot for the life of me understand how anyone can read this forum or any other exjw forum and still allow an innocent child to ever go into a kh. What about the emotional damage? Has the child even been exposed to other religions and why they believe the way they do without the wt glasses on? I would literally have to be dead for my child to ever step foot in one. And then I think I know a few people who would fight tooth and nail to keep my child out of one if a minor. carla

  In some churches when church leaders become seriously ill, they have the members pray for the individual. Do jw's do this? tonight is Thurs meeting, will they announce it or anything?

  I have a question about H2o- On the home page it says it is mod's are members in 'good standing' and baptized. How does Brooklyn stand for this website to exist? Wouldn't you think they would try to shut it down? or have they?

  They probably already have been grooming somone to take his place or the other old codgers anyway. Even if he kicks the bucket do you think it will really matter?

  I think that should read, 'Read only the OT'. Futher reading of the NT may make certain brothers & sisters realize that the wt is ungodly and unbiblical. One needs only to read the scriptures printed already in your literature provided by the unfaithful and indiscreet slave. One may however choose to see if the script already cited is in the Good Book, therefore making 'sure of all things'.

  Get one of those high powered squirt guns! They can shoot pretty far. Clapping at them and yelling at them does seem to temporarily get them to move as well. Watch your back! carla

  Temperament Forecast for Partners of Witnesses

  this is a new idea that i will keep it going if it generates enough interest.

  some jw's, especially loyal followers who take each magazine as gospel, adjust their temperament according to the latest wt article.

  it might be helpful to those of us with jw relatives or partners to access to the theme-of-the-week.

  How Can The JW's Spiritually Help Anyone...

  when they aren't even sure of their own salvation?

  they come to our doors telling us that we can live in paradise knowing that the wtbts tells them that even the jw's aren't assured of a place in the new system.

  can you imagine how that must affect them if they stop and think about it?.

  I agree. I have never been able to figure out what the 'good news' is that jw's preach. There is nothing good about it. No hope, just alot of maybe's.
