  Indoctrination 101: The Sep KM insert - From Student to Publisher

  most of us who have/are associated with jehovah's witnesses are familiar with the indoctrination process and how it works.. well, for those of us who want to see the process from start to finish, the watchtower has very kindly included an insert in the.

  september kingdom ministry, entitled conducting progressive bible studies.. .

  yesterday was my birthday.

  sometimes i wish i was still a jw cuz then i wouldn't have disappointing birthdays!

  then again, i can probably deal with the disappointment better cuz i have nothing to compare it with.

  With the ministers thing- couldn't a jw confess some crime to another jw (both not elders or ms or... just rank & file) and then not tell the elders because they were using their minister status to keep things confidential? Yet if they don't tell on each other it would be sharing in the sin. Do I have this right?

  JH- 'more honest' ?! how could that be when they have redefined the word 'lie'? who then is worthy of this jw honesty? can't be us non believers, can't be fellow jw's cause you never know, they might not be a 'real' jw.

  Elders = Amateur Lawyers | Case Study Marriage Separation - Society scolded

  while serving as an elder we had a sister who was moving to another congregation in conjunction with separating from her husband.. another brother and i had been working with them for many weeks and were asked to send a letter to the new congregation, commenting on the situation and scriptural validity of the separation.. the situation was that she claimed he was endangering her and cited one physical incident where she hid behind a door and playfully jumped out to scare him, he reacted by striking out with his arm and hit her in the shoulder.

  she admitted he was very sorry about the incident, but she suspected he somewhat did it on purpose.

  she also brought up several situations in there marriage of him not taking the lead and weird behavior.

  The scary thing here is our marriages are in the hands of these 'elders'. They can make the decision as to if a marriage stays together or not and yet make it seem the jw is really making the 'godly' decision. These elders who know nothing about relationships. And the jw cannot see the control. I believe I am feeling the effects of elder control at the moment so if any of you still got any prayers in you, I could sure use em'.

  i heard they made an announcement.

  he called the po to see whether he and his wife were announced as being d'fd.

  the po didn't want to talk to him but finally conceded that his wife was not d'fd.

  Are the chances of getting DF'd a second time greater than the first?

  i don't know if there are any statistics about this, but i wonder if the percentage of those getting disfellowshipped a second time greater than those getting disfellowshipped the first time.. example: if 20% of jw's get disfellowhipped once, out of those who come back and are re instated, will the chances of being once more disfellowshipped be greater than 20%.
