  UPDATE ON DONNA'S HEALTH

  today we got a phone call from the "cancer treatment centers of america".. donna's niece left our phone number with them.

  they offered among other things to fly donna and me to the seattle area and back home, free of charge to check out what they have to offer.. that started the the "if it sounds like its too good to be true" bells to begin to ring.. i did a search on google and found they had been brought to court by the feds for false advertising and paid a fine.. it is a privately owned, for profit corporation.. has anyone on this forum had experience with them?

  or have any knowledge of this outfit??.

  Sorry I can't help you with that org. Have you tried support groups for cancer patients? Maybe they would have some good advice for you. in my prayers, carla

  i wonder if the governing body actually hear the voices of the resurrected annointed ones.

  does the heavenly bride of christ whisper, or talk normal, or do they do it by "silent suggestion" in which they move them to a conclusion or answer so they'll all agree.. what about when they have to vote on things cuz they can't agree?.

  I was just going to ask you guys about this! How did you as dubs think all this new light was being 'transmitted' to the gb? husband can't give a clear answer and neither could the ms I asked. 'Nobody knows for sure'. Even though I showed them where Russell still controlled things from beyond the veil or angels transmitted the info. And what about all the other annoying ones? What if they get some 'message'? The few dubs I have asked say that the gb 'sure would listen to an annoying one from another land if they had 'new light'. What? they must be kidding! To me it seems the r & f have no clue how things work at Brooklyn, they don't even believe that it takes a twothirds vote to change the light!

  1. When one of you changed your beliefs, did it change the level of intimacy in your marriage, and if so, was it for the better or the worse? 2. Can you share your innermost religious feelings with your partner? no 3. Does being able to share your religious feelings impact your ability to be intimate overall? when you can't be free to discuss things it will affect everything 4. I have used the analogy of the "other woman" when describing the influence of the Watchtower Bible and Tract society on our marriage. Hubby also consults "her" whenever he is making a decision. Would this analogy fit your situation, and if so, how does it affect intimacy? The other woman, exactly. Unfaithful would be another. You cannot be going to someone else with something that will affect your spouse. We have no way of knowing just what is brought up to elders or others. Trust is lost. 5. Does your partner bring Watchtower materials to bed? Not while I'm there! Then I would have to get my C of C book and reread parts of it while I tsk, tsk about it! 6. Anything else you would like to share? why is this type so small? It would get too long and personal. All I can say is it's ALWAYS there. I think part of the problem is many of us ubm's know more of the rules and regulations than the jw's do! So there is alway looking to see if they will 'break a rule' or not. Then you wonder, do they know this or that is a no-no, is there new light? It just changes the entire fabric of the relationship when one is a jw. It always feels like there is a whole cong in a room with you. Rather puts a damper on life! You can never be truly free with that person again. It costs you dearly in ways you could never have imagined before.

  Can someone help me decide what to do?

  can someone give me some feedback on what they would do in this situation:.

  last weekend my best friends husband told me that three years ago he caught (and spied on for about half an hour) my husband and my very best friend "getting hot and heavy" (his words) in our spa and that he watched them because "he found it hot".

  the three of them decided that they would not tell me and kept it a secret for the last three years until he told me (because he was drunk at the time).

  A Cleansing

  after many months of letting the junk pile up, me and my husband set out to tackle cleaning up the garage today so that i could start parking my car in there again as the cold weather is coming.. as we were working he said to me "okay these jehovah's witnesses books have to go".

  when we first moved in three years ago, i had taken all of my jw books and put them into a storage container out in the garage.

  at that point i felt like i was betraying jehovah if i threw out the books.. well three years later and i said "okay, but first we must rip out my name out of them all".

  The parents say it should be a 'private family matter'? Is anything ever a private family matter in the hall? Interesting conversation in my home about this topic. One child did not find husband neutral at all when discussing this topic. The child found his policy of inaction an action in itself. This was a preteen. I'm sure his delivery in the conversation also helped the child feel that way.

  bath stuff, candles, lotion, red wine (not sure, can you send that?) chocolate, ornament, girl stuff I guess. Though I would love to get some of the new jw books I would like to keep my Christmas morning non jw. It will be a hard year with one child not here and jw doofus sitting there pretending like it doesn't matter. We have decided, he is not included this year. Enoughs enough.

  The question is not where else can we go, it is to whom, the answer was Jesus, you must come to Jesus.

  Ah, yes the ever famous, gather together, the Bible also says you are to fellowship with Jesus. Now how can you fellowship with someone you are not even ALLOWED to talk to? If she went to the hall but was not allowed to talk to anybody would she still consider it fellowshipping?

  God needs a large org?! Does she really believe God 'needs' any of us humans? As if He cannot accomplish anything without jw's? Don't you think creation itself would prove He certainly doesn't 'need' us to 'help' Him with anything. Jesus also said we didn't need any man to teach us as that would be the job of the Holy Spirit.

  Fresh food? There again you have the jw's putting themselves in the seat of Moses or even God Himself. I say this because they have changed and added to the word of God so many times. And all the flip flops of the org. God doesn't change, men do.

  Why does the wt warn against reading the Bible alone without jw literature? It warns that you will fall into darkness and start believing the same as christendom does. Why do you suppose that is? Does that mean a jw standed on a desert island with only a bible (hopefully not the NWT) would become a Christian?

  I won't bother looking up any scripts, it just turns into a volleyball of scripts!

  I will leave it to the others to answer more eloquently. They know who they are, help Panic out here.
