  is it normal for one who is a somewhat new convert to become emotionless?

  maybe that's not quite the right word, but, husband just doesn't seem to care when there is a problem in the house with one of us.

  he will just say things like, 'well, i'm sorry you feel that way' and nothing more!!!

  term-unbaptised?

  i have seen the term 'unbaptised' a number of times now, do you mean 'never baptised' or does the org actuallly 'unbaptise' somehow?

  or does the term apply do those who are df'd or da'd?

  splinter groups

  i just received some stuff from macgregor ministries and in a booklet -how to identify a cult- there is a listing of cults.

  i found it interesting that there a quite a number of splinter groups from jw's.

  as usually jw's boast about 'unity' and husband is always going on about how 'they don't have all these other denominations'.

  What would you say?

  what would you say to someone who is going to be baptized soon, who does not understand the whole 1914 doctrine or even how it was arrived at?

  good grief, isn't there a test or something before they baptize someone?

  husband has agreed to explain the 1914 for me in writing, but when i said he needed to explain the 607 date as well, he didn't even know what i was talking about.

  Use of the word jah?

  i have noticed on ex sites the use of the word jah in reference to jehovah.

  is this just a slang used by ex's or do active also use it?

  if active members use it, doesn't it seem a bit disrespectful then?

  i have the letter from kent's site.

  need also an alternative site (two sources at least) husband doesn't believe any of the hitler stuff i told him.

  did finding out that the 607 date was wrong matter to any of you?

  and doesn't that in fact make all the other dates fall apart?

  or did you rationalize and say what's 20 years or so?

  may i ask a few questions?

  i'm sure some have already been asked, and some are not meant to be hurtful, i just don't understand.

  backround- i am not jw, in fact quite anti jw, husband has been studying for about two years, not baptized, not field service, i know doctine quite well, flipflops, un, new 1914, etc......... do any of you feel 'guilty' for getting someone 'in'?
