Elderettes are better than the sisters, but the sisters aren't better than anyone else in the borg. Finally, the bottom of the ladder. Sigh... -

by cyd0099 init's been said the best revenge is living well.
this following weekend i plan to be in the city hosting the dc.

There were some good things about the organisation...
by Do I Stand Alone? ini have read a number of experiences in this discussion forum and quite frankly, i would have to agree that many, if not all, were pretty terrible experiences if not all together traumatic.
i know that my personal 9-11 tragedy resulted in finding out that the watchtower society was involved with the united nations.
that pretty much said it all as far as my "career" in the organisation was concerned.

Since I never had too many opportunites to talk to girls at all;
Rural setting, all the watchful eyes, never getting to skate during the "couples skate"...
I was so clumsy,it was laughable looking back on it. All my social skills came from two places; the platform where I learned to enhance my stiffness and unnatural delivery, and TV, which completed my ineptitude.
I'm just glad that my (now ex-) wife to be was aggresive or I'd stayed stupid and virginal for another ten years. -

What did you want to be when you grew up?
by whyamihere inas a child, what did you want to be, when you became an adult?
if you could, would you want to go back in time, and become what you wanted to be in the first place?.
as a child, i wanted to be a florist.

As a young boy I wanted to fly chartered flights into some remote wilderness, sometimes in a pontoon craft. A youth spent reading Jack London and watching "Wild Kingdom"
Later on I wandered into the theater and began to write plays and act and work behind the scenes.
But a high-school educated janitor with a malevolent publishing company pulling all his strings couldn't do those things...
After eradicating the obstacle, I am working toward the latter set of goals. I write often, in fact I have a monthly column locally, and I have my first paying gig in the arts as the operations manager for a summer series of outdoor movies.
Maybe in another ten or so years I'll get around to that growing up thing. -

I was usually beneath the notice of the elders and most of the cong. for that matter. It was only when my friends and I would go out and check on the elderly and the single moms after some particularly bad weather that we were told as young men we shouldn't be alone with the single women as it might look bad.

Why do you post here?
by seattleniceguy infor me, it's mainly the money and the women, i suppose.. no, but seriously, i was thinking the other day about why i post here.
in september it will be two years since i left the organization.
i don't much care for doctrinal debates anymore, and i usually pass on threads that are concerned with he-said-she-said kind of stuff inside the organization.

It's nice to see the feelings and thoughts I have are shared by so many.
To have an opportunty to share them as well, I mean, to whom could you ever express any doubt at the KH?
I remember being in my 30's and when I found a friend in the Hall I could swear in front of and not get sqealed on, I was so happy.
