What's the worst injury or sickness you have seen participate at a meeting?
by RULES & REGULATIONS ini once went to a 2 day assembly with 4 wisdom teeth pulled the day before.my gums were bleeding but i stayed at the assembly with gauze inside my mouth and rinsing my mouth every 10 minutes.a brother had major back operation a couple of days before but he made to the assembly laying on a mattress in the back of the hall for 2 days.wow!
we thought we were zealous.now i look back and see how stupid we were.

Did you get the new tract?
by kid-A injust wanted to run an informal poll to see how "effective" or hopelessly "ineffective" the borg tract assimilation drive has been.. i for one, have not received the tract, and i live in densely populated development.

No, but a local mega-church hung some hot pink fliers/invitations on a few doorknobs in my neighborhood.

Wealthy vs Poor Cong. Which ones were more real?
by hambeak ini am curious about this because as i was growing up i attended a very poor cong.
benches for seats and light bulbs hanging from wires from the ceiling and mostly black folks.
some of the best people i ever knew never stingy alway kind.

I was down in California in the mid-80's and I saw the gap between the poor and wealthy congregations. I attended with the other less well-to-do brothers even though I had family in the rich territories. I felt more at ease in th older, slightly run-down but clean building used as a hall than at the shiny, manicured, and landscaped KH of my relatives.

Can Someone Explain Horror Movies?
by onesong ini try to be open minded and not judge anything but when i see these movie commercials----.
i think it was saw iii or something, all this blood, gore, shrieking and grotesque violence, all i can do is ask with a sense of awe --why?
why would someone want to watch that?.

I like horror movies, especially the older ones like the Hammer series. I guess they'd be considered campy by today's audiences. But what I do not like are slasher movies. Films that rely on blood and severed limbs rather than tension, suspence, and surprise.

Funny Symbol - Anyone Recognise It?
by misspeaches inhi guys... on an off chance that someone here might know..... my manager is one of those very well spoken, very clean cut & well attired breed of men.
however he wears this dull gold ring that looks very ordinary.
it has me intrigued because it just doesn't match up with everything else.

Awkward moment Tuesday night
by Jourles inon tuesday night, i took an elbow to the nose while playing volleyball.
a guy i play with is an er doctor and recommended i go to the er just to make sure everything was ok. turned out i had a "nasal fracture with contusion.
" anyways, while talking with the admissions lady, one of the questions she asked me was, "any religion or church you want me to put you down as affiliated with?

Jourles, If your own blood didn't leave your body,I guess technically it wouldn't have been a "sin" to swallow it. I remember the dubs using the example of the heart bypass surgery (closed continous circut) and as long as it wasn't "primed" with blood it was okay. You didn't "prime" your throat with anybody elses blood did you?

I noticed the chairs stacked outside were the same style and colour of the chairs in my old hall. My butt hurts from just remembering them.
