i don't remember anything pertaining to the brothers.

Same here - back in 1912, when I was just a young girl, I used to rebel and wear ALL my skirts just above the ANKLE - what a rebel!

Looks to me that The Watchtower is 'juggling' a quote by an expert in the field to suit a purpose.

i recently wrote a letter to every family member i could find an address to which exposed the wt org as the group of fools they actually are!
interesting thing is that not one letter was sent to my home congregation by anyone and the letter circulated to almost every family member i have; so instead of turning me in as i suspected they would do, they are talking about it openly and distributing it to all family members-even ones i couldn't find an address to.
i'm winning this war!

i have heard on this discussion board numerous rules that apply to upcoming a$$emblies.
some are designed to stop people from meeting the opposite sex; others, to make sure everyone is always ready to recruit new members into the scam.
i heard that some km inserts have been urging those whose congregation has cleaning assignments to sit in the section that they are assigned to clean.
It looks like control to me. If a young child sees a sweet (candy) machine, it's quite 'normal' for them to 'want' - they learn from an early age that any pleasure is FORBIDDEN in the Cult.
