I think Adam made the same choice that any man would make. According to a recent thread, the WTBTS claims that Adam was on his own for 30 years before the creation of Eve. He went 30 years with no nookie. Then he got him some. Eve sinned and faced death. Adam faced a possible 30 more years without nookie, until Ol' Joe got around to getting him some more. Death, or 30 years without? Adam chose wisely

What if either Adam or Eve had remained perfect?
by Sith ini've never heard this addressed before.
according to the wts, joe hoba didn't destroy adam and eve when they sinned, because that would have only proven his power...that he could destroy that which he created.
he allowed them to stay alive and multiply so that he could prove the rightness of his rule and to answer satan's criticism.

I know it's a fairy tale, but I would like to understand WTBTS reasoning on this. I don't get the logic (as if JW dogma is logical). If sin is passed down through women as well as men, how could Jesus be born without sin?

So it seems that Eve was expendable. Satan's question to God about His fitness to rule only applied to Adam. The woman sinned, get rid of her, make a new one. This could have gone on indefinitely, woman after woman, until one was created that remained faithful. And a perfect Eve couldn't have perfect children with an imperfect Adam, as perfection/imperfection is passed down by the father, correct?

Women, is it really necessary to scream when....

a wasp flew in the window and landed on her.
she started screaming like she had been shot.

I love the fact that women scream over things I find trivial. I think it's instinctive, designed by evolution to bring out the natural protective nature of man. However, I hate it when women scream at me. Screaming for me is another matter

Thanks Blondie. I really appreciate your research. I figured that was the WTS stand on the issue. So the WTBTS, and ol' Joe Hoba Himself, consider women to be insignificant, interchangable and of no consequence. Man is the end-all. I wonder how the "sisters" feel about their God's attitude towards them? Of course, those brain-dead ewes accept it without question. Thank God (if He exists) for women, like those on this board, who don't

I've been out of the Borg for many years now, and thought I had put much of it behind me. Since I began reading this board, my feelings have changed. A lot of anger has resurfaced, but a lot of compassion as well. I'm angry at the idiots who perpetuate the lies, but feel sorry of the innocents who buy into it, especially the children who have no choice. I'm thinking about becoming proactive. I remember, as a kid, seeing "apostates" with their placards at conventions. I remember being afraid of them. I remember comments made by adult JWs about them. Now, I think I'll become one. Probably won't do a bit of good, but at least I'm doing something. Trying, in my own small way, to right a major wrong

The killing of Job's family...
by Hecklerboy ini'm having a conversation with a couple of people in my office as i type this.
i'm asking the question "why did god allow satan to kill job's family?
" i told them that to say he did it to prove job's faithfullness and that he got even more in return for his faithfulness is not a good enough answer.
