  what jesus never had facial hair?

  i remember hearing comments like " yes he's a lovely bro, but he'll not be used by the cong because he needs to shave his beard".

  I've worn a beard since 1991, the year I was DFed for the 3rd and final time. It's a little salt and pepper these days...ok, I lied, there's a lot of grey but I color it. Don't tell anyone. It's my one vanity.
  When I was DFed for the second time, I really wanted to get back in. I had a wife and 2 kids at the time...deeply immersed. I was living away from them and my home-town congregation. I had to converse with the PO over the phone. He was tracking my "repentance".
  He told me that in order to be reinstated, I had to shave my sideburns to an acceptable length. I did.

  The first time I've been "down" b/c of JWD...

  i've had good and bad days since stumbing onto jwd... and i've learned more in my short time here than in the last 20 years as an "active" and true to the bone...dub.... but today (tonight) i'm really sad... the tone of almost every thread i read has gotten "ugly".... i love "spirited" discussion, but this is different.

  it feels like forum anarchy.. is there no yielding anymore...?.

  maybe it was just too much happened today... or solar flares or something... i don't know...don't care.... maybe my new found "love" for my country (not the blind patriotic crap) and life coupled with the obvious animosity toward this love by some...well just bums me out.

  First time on here- DF'd almost 3 years ago

  i have toyed around with the idea of finding fellow df'd ones for about a year now.

  i recently got married, and of course it has made me look at how it feels like i gave up one life for another.

  the only member of my family who is a jw is my mother- and it kills me that we pretty much no longer have a relationship.

  You well know, Jeannie, that dialect, pronunciation, grammar, speech impediments, accents, etc. all are proof of intelligence. As is good looks, nice teeth, lots of money. Why else does an idiot like George Clooney have a political platform?
  Give me a good dentist, a plastic surgeon, a speech therapist and a loan officer and I could rule the world

  it was my jwd birthday yesterday, and i just wanted to say thank you!

  it has been 1 year since i have gone to a meeting.

  i have all of you to thank, because of your support it has saved not only me, but my kids as well.

  even if you dont like the organization and choose not to be apart of it, i can see where you come from.
