i have 2 children, a 3 year old and a baby.. i spend all my time trying to make my 3 year old happy (i'm not so concerned about georgia as shes only 6 months old), i pack her days with fun things to do and i hate to tell her off as i feel so guilty, i'm so scared of being a bad mum and ruining her childhood.. do any of you other parents feel like this at all?

it's funny how "split-personalitied" i am on some things.
i'm not really a neat person.
but there are things that i am very anal about.
At the moment I am ok and aslong as my house is reasonably clean and tidy it will do.
However, I used to have a thing about my bathroom, only mysef, my partner and my daughter could use it, and it had to be bleached every day, sometimes more than once.
I was telling my friend about this the other day and she thought it was hilarious, that if I had a guest and they asked to use the bathroom I would tell them no.
But I did used to have a major case of OCD, not too bad now though.
i had an idea that i could build a uk map of everyones location which would show you instantly who is in your area from jwd.. (it might be an idea to do a seperate us one aswell but i'll wait and see if this one takes off first, or if anyone from the us wants to volunteer to do that one).
(and australia but you are all in the same backyard anyway - literally!!!).

This sounds like a really sensible theory actually, much more sensible than the christian theory, I wouldn't mind looking further into it.

Well, I have reason to suspect they are, it doesn't affect the way I post, it annoys me a little to think that I'm probably still being watched and judged, but this thread gives me the opportunity to smile and wave and say "Hiya Andy".

how old were you when you realized that your parents were fallible and, that lastest slap you got was unjust?
for me i realised at about 9 years old, neither of my parents understood fairness.
in my family there were the haves and the have nots.
I'm not sure at what age but I think I learned quickly that my mum was a nasty piece of work.
One example, that I was just thinking about earlier, I was about 12, my dad hadn't been dead for very long, maybe a couple of months and we'd had an argument about something, I don't recall what but I couldn't have said much as I was always too scared, she said to me in a very vicious tone "You're no daughter of mine".
That might not seem like a big deal to anyone reading this, but it hurt, at the time she was threatening to have me put in care (this was a favourite of hers) and to remember it to this day means it must've really upset me.

i have never dated for obvious reasons and am now 26 with no experiance and extremely shy about this whole dating process.
i have tried places of interest like gyms, workout classes and even eharmony with no prevail.
Hi aoxo, welcome to the forum. I was brought up a witness too so know exactly what you mean, but I've found that just relaxing and being yourself, not trying to push things works, just make friends either through work or where ever else you can and pretty soon you'll meet someone.
for a long time, before working with people in this situation, i would have answered this question with .... "i feel for them and i know how degrading it must be, to come to this point in their life to have to depend on the government to sustain them" .
... once i got up close and personal with these people, i have learned that my answer only applies to a small group of those on government assistance.
well from my experience, those on government assistance are more often about taking advantage of the system, then they are about actually being in need of help.
Its ok, so long as the person really can't go out to work, but for those lazy parasites who simply can't be bothered to get up in the morning, or worse still, the ones doing a cash in hand job and still claiming, no way.
