i am preparing a paper on j-dubs, and i need to know if the live forever book & the united in worship book are still required to be studied before a person can get baptized?

After those two, the book of choice became the "Knowledge that leads to everlasting life"
Then it was the "what does god require of us?" brochure.
Now, the campaign is for the "what does the bible really teach?" book.
If there is one thing we dont have it is 20-40 year olds.
Its like they dissapear during this time to live their lives and come back when they have nothing better to do, lol.
Mostly 50+'s in my congregation.
15% of the congregation is under 10. There are about 3 females that are between 20-30.
One is new to our congregation, one is privately reproved, and one is just a normal run of the mill female witness.
there was a post in the past that listed ray franz as the "king of the apostates" to flip the script who would you nominate as the reigning "queen of the apostates"?
my nominee would go to joan cetnar.
but to be honest joan is such a nice person that i had the pleasure of meeting at a ex-jws convention.

do you think that there will come a time when the wts will be a thing of the past and people will look into their history books and say "oh yeah those jw's were around for over 120 years and now they are no longer around today in the year 20___?
" my friend thinks that jw's will not collapse and will probably get "stronger" with time.

I dont think the end of the organization will come in any of our life times.
But i doubt that it'll last pass 2100.
Sooner or later, they'll be more people being disfellowshipped/dissassociated as opposed to those who are active.
In my opinion, the WTBS right now is banking on third world countries. Thats where most of the growth is coming from these days.
I have a theory that china will eventually become a "democracy" and this will open the doors to greedy organizations like the WTBS, church of latter day saints and Scientologists.

To get a high score there isnt really much you have to do, most of the women on those sites dont even show their faces, they're showing...something else :-D.
Guys get cut alot of slack tho, its mostly women rating other women IMO.

one of my best friends in the world pam who is a non-judgmental born-again christians told me that she thinks that we are only "pawns" in a chess game played by jehovah and satan.
at first i thought pam was joking with me but she told me she was serious as a heart attack.
she then started to explain her position.
Personally, i agree with pam.
I honestly believe that god looks down at us everyday and doesnt feel an ounce of pity (Thats if there is one).
The whole issue of god's "sovereignty" never really hit me as a valid answer to why god permits suffering. As far as i'm concerned, god could have killed off every being in the universe and started over if he felt that some obscure human would think Satan was right.
well with all the new light threads i started to wonder, is there even one example in the bible of new light?
i've looked and looked but it seems that i can't find anything.
i know certain principles or guidelines were expounded on from the ot to the nt, but you don't hear jesus or the apostles saying adultry is: ok, forbidden, ok, forbidden, etc.. besides the vague scripture the jw's pull out of psalms (i think) on new light are there any other bible examples?
i thought all that crap about the old convenant and the new convenant was used to "prove" the new light doctrine.

most of you know the story, havnt spoken to my folks for nearly 8 months after another argument as to why they could not been seen in public with my fiance (now hubby) and i as it would be seen agreeing with my decision to marry a "worldly" man.. i kind of got the hint it was for good when i didnt get an invite to the memorial, even if we are not talking at the time my dad always sends a written invite.. my nan has been really sick so she has been staying at my mums so i decided to text my mum yesterday to see how she is going.
bout 6:30 my mob rings and its my mum i was shocked but also excited to hear her voice....but instead it was my nan.
I'm sorry to hear that. I doubt she/they can hold it up for too long. Especially with a grandson, i hope they shapen up soon.
