What proportion of JW kids stay Witnesses? How about in your cong?
by jwfacts inthe wts is currently growing at about 1.3 % which is similar to the global propulation growth rate.
if all the jw kids stayed as jws then the religion could grow as quickly as it is now without any door knocking.. if in 2005 1.2 billion hours witnessing resulted in the religion only growing at the rate it should be naturally it suggests a lot a kids are leaving, or doorknocking is not having very good results.. of about 100 people born into the wts that i can remember in my congregations in australia about 3/4 of them have left.
is that the same in your congregation?

My brother and I have reached the conclusion that God is quite apathetic. If he does exist, i dont think it matters whether we kill hundres of people or saved thousands with food programs. In the end, its all about if you have any regrets. My two cents.

Crazy Californian Witnesses...
by Dune ini dont know if you guys noticed or not.

When i was younger, i used to hear stories about orgies, wife swapping, drug selling and gang member witnesses in the good ole Golden state.
ALong with California, other states, provinces, cities and countries noted for their "debuached" witnesses are Florida, Amsterdam and Australia. I dont know about Australia and Florida though.
Anyway, what have you guys heard/experienced? -

Question for JWs still on the "inside":
by Hellrider injust a question: if you are still jws (for any reason, many just can`t leave because their entire families are wrapped around it, etc), but don`t believe in it, and lead a "double life", how do you cope with going door to door?
i just can`t imagine how it must feel like to go out there and try to tell people at the doors or in the streets things you know are just bs!
how do you deal with that?

Its easier for some people more so than others. I just need to clear up a few loose pages before i leave.

WTS Letter: Tracking Down Displaced JWs
by doinmypart inshortly after the hurricanes hit the gulf coast region of the u.s. the wts organized committees and met with elders in the affected/surrounding states.
one point of discussion was the damage assessment to khs and homes; the other point of discussion was locating displaced jws.. the wts is concerned about losing publishers.
at the time it was stressed that if a displaced person or family moved into your area be sure to get at least name and former congregation and forward the information to wts.

This website in no way shape or form reflects my views. It is simply something a friend of mine showed me after he had some girl trouble. http://www.nomarriage.com/

I dont consider myself to be leading a double life. The "worst" thing that i'm doing is coming onto JWD to talk with the poztates. But seriously, I place magazines, do street work, but i dont do returns. I've even refused bible studies. I think this will be my last year as a witness, but who knows. What i do know is that once i graduate from college i'm going to move to another state and leave all of this behind me.

Play the ouiji board once normally.
Then Do it again blindfolded.
Then do it again blindfolded but with the board upside down.
Presto!! No more invisible spirits. -

Wish they were vocal like that in my congregation. Everyone hates the fact that i'm going to college, but wont outright say it. So tired of posers...
