  How I got out of JWs, they showed me the way!

  i have been writing 'my story' in bits and pieces here.

  it was pouring out, one of the kids sick, jw husband wasn't going.

  i got in the car (this little hatch-back car was a loaner from the garage because our larger car was being repaired) i was stopped at a stop sign and i was on time for the meeting.. i heard something and turned in time to see something coming at me fast.

  It is unbelievable that people can be so heartless. How could they think that after an accident you still can go to the meetings.

  But they actually did you a favour in retrospect. It did free you from the collective.

  Do you think of yourself as an apostate

  many of the people on this site say that they are apostates.

  but that is not the way i feel about myself.. i am not angry with the "witnesses" or the organisation, i don't feel that i wasted my life.

  i just think that i was stupid to believe it for 30 years (well sort of believe it, i did have severe doubts on and off).

  if a witness would not allow a blood transfusion to an innocent child, what makes us think that they would not be more capable to do something else?

  It is clear from history that with the wrong guidance a group like this, or any other religious or nationalistic group can do everything horrible you can imagine.

  With a livelong of teachings of anti-war and anti-violence, it would take a lot of work however to make them do something more militaristic etc... A lot of people whould still resists

  The trinity makes logically no sense at all. Espaecially the time Jezus was on earth and he died. (God was not dead, Jezus was, or Jezus fakes it...)

  In some parts of the bible it is clear that the writer did not see God as part of a trinity.

  In other parts of the bible it looks like the writer did se God as a trinity, but the evidence on this is not very sure.

  In my opinion, there are different thouhs of different writers, and that makes it impossible to come to one single conclusion for many of the teachings in the bible. Therefore we should not look at one or two versus of the bible to try to prove any of those things. The bible is just not the autority to do so....

  So I guess that makes me an apostate, and a damn good one at that.

  But I went out in service this morning!!!

  How does that feel in the service, when you know all you have to offer is bu##sh@t ??

  Anyway I erally don't like the term apostate. (maybe that is the Jw still inside me, connecting this word to demunz etc...)
  I also don't like it because apostate would mean that there is only one religion you can be an apostate of. I am just someone who happens to disagree.

  think about this for a moment.. jws believe that their relentless work now will be rewarded with paradise later.. however, in an effort to get into paradise, many jws do nothing but work, and serve god.

  i know my mother does.. so i wonder, what does she think she's going to do in paradise?

  what is there that she likes, that will occupy her eternally??.

  the people who get a ressurection have to read the WT and awake also, so preaching will continue for a thousand years.

  Can anybody explain to me the difference between killing a few week old embrio and killing a 1 day old child? Serious answers only, please.

  There is a huge difference as the nerve system is not yet developed. But if you compare it to a later abortion like a 7 month old here is not much difference. Danny
