If you were God, would you want to be worshipped?

if i was the god of the bible, i think my priorities would be to set the ground rules of life and manage the planet, ensuring life is good.

i cannot envision any reason to desire worship.

If you have everything can you still want something?
What does worshipping mean to an almighty God?

First thought was more like, interesting to watch those humans what they are doing. But then you already know the end, so must be pretty boring.
Only conclusion I can think of is that if there is an almighty God he never can have any feelings or other things we atribute to him. he just is.

ok why havent we got the truth?

ok as you have gathered im a wittness and i for one beleave we have the truth.not saying every thing is or has all ways been right because we live in a imperfect world with imperfect people.but as far as jehovah being god and jesus being his son.and the coming war of arrmegeddon.i would say we have the truth.i no about all the mistakes and misunderstandings we have had in the past.but i feel that is past and we have moved on.and abandoned i no what you all say about the year 607 being wrong but that date all deapends on it desolation was 70 years or not.so im just trying to understand how some of you say you lernt you was being lied to?

You know, I believe in the KISS method of religion. Keep It Simple Stupid. Even Jesus made it simple for us,
"Love one another as I have loved you". This is my problem with the teachings of the WTS. The Bible is
not a complex book for us to try to figure out the dates, etc. It is a guide for good living. The Truth? Even
Jesus told us that "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. He who believes in me will have life everlasting."
That is the truth that I adhere to.

For those of you born in.....

i want to say how brave i think all of you are for stepping out of the jw's, even if it's hidden (those of you still going).

whenever witnesses would knock on our door, i always felt they were ok and just worshipping god in the way they felt was right.

i never knew it came with soooo much stress and shunning if one does not comply.

The immensity of the universe with its billions of galaxies and countless trillions of stars, and how all these move perfectly like a clock.

I think it would be a miracle if they would NOT move perfecly like a clock.... Anyway, if you count a miracle as something that can not yet be explained by science and is also not is the picture of soon to be explained, then what plyphiser said, indeed the beginning of time.

hmmm dannybloem im 99.9 percent sure i mentioned I had limited knowledge on JW etc , So I dont make claim to know "what Im taking about" merely more of an opinion, consider it a ramble of thoughts even...... :P

Sorry, maybe I was a bit too direct here.
The think they do not add anything to the bible. (but of course they do). The Watchtower are mere interpretation not additions
But so do all christain groups I think.

hard to compare it with the mormons though. The book of mormon is more then an interpretation, it is an official addition.
