  The "Revelation" Book...did you HATE that thing as much as I did??

  ok the first time i thought it was pretty cool how they applied every little scripture to themselves.

  i sat rapt with my young children while we discussed wonderful things to come.

  the second time i was like...where's my old book with all the notes in the margins, im not looking all this sh-t up again!.

  i've always been fascinated by the voynich manuscript.

  for those of you who've never heard of it:.

  in 1912, the antiquarian book dealer wilfrid m. voynich bought a number of mediaeval manuscripts from an undisclosed location in europe.

  last sunday at the meeting i noticed how eager the witnesses are to follow suit and to show as if they are very interested.. the brother at the stage read very named scriptures like math 24:14 etc.

  all the people in the hall were very eager to look it up and read it with him, even though they knew the scripture already, and reading it again does not help anything.. same pavlov reaction with clapping after the public talk was over, etc etc.. are there more examples of this type of reaction?

  i just read page 85 of the 1926 edition of the finished mystery for about the tenth time.

  it goes to great lengths in explaining that the leviathan is actually a locomotive!

  i assume that jws back at that time believed that jehovah was the author of this and they believed it whole heartedly.

  How they react to it?

  Most JW's are actually proud of it. They say, at least our religion is changing itself for the better, it is not dogmatic.

  What I read recently that made me wonder?

  Actually, it was there teachings about the flood and other myths in genesis that made me see it was could never be gods organisaion.

  this morning the speaker was late and they had to change the wachtower study with the public talk.. the young elder introducing this, was maybe a bit nervous of this happening (although it is certainly not the first time this year), and told that the public intercourse of the wachttower study would be held first, instead of the public discourse.

  i believe its coming.

  big brother wt cant control the internet, they tried to shut down all anti jw sites, they threatened those who went to any sites that mentioned jw beliefs even if it was pro-jw....they dfd jws who published books or had sites about the organization even if they were pro-jw....they developed their own web sites to counter the flow...then came the jw dating sites, the jw chat rooms,...they cannot stem the flow!

  so... they will develop software (spyware) that all "loyal" jws will have to have on their computers that will prevent them from going to any non-approved web sites containing any anti-jw information.

  The idea is not silly at all.

  There isn't anything legally wrong with it. They can just say that it is a program that gives you and your kids protection agains pornographic and other dangerous sites. (no real lies, just misleading info)

  many JW's happy to install it.
