I sometimes stayed in a YMCA when in holyday, with the whole congregation knowing. Not any problem at all. Nobody even hinted that it was not good. First time I stayed there I did not even know it was christian. (later I found out the meaning of the letters). Maybe this is an american thing?

all my life i was a good christian person, then after getting df'd i entertained the idea to do all manner of formerly forbidden activities, since everyone thought i was going to the devil anyway.

i saw something i never considered possible before ... perhaps this is a sign of the days ahead for the watchtower society.
i was on the south side of chicago today, showing a large property to an investor.
the area i was in was fairly nice, somewhat middle class in appearance.
Maybe she was offered the magazines in street witnessing work. We always offered magazines to those kind of people, as they were the only ones willing to accept.
Maybe then she just imitated what the JW's told her.
(always one of my favourites, to preach the red light area, with all those woman behind the windows )

i think that somebody will be able to adjust more quickly then we think. To adjust is one of the strengts of humans.
I think the different way of life would be more affected to him then the technologie.

If a J.W. had to go to a Catholic Hospital ie: St. Mary's, St. Stanislaus, etc.say, in an emergency, but was admitted and stayed there for a few days, would he/she get reproved or disfellowshipped?
it would not matter to which hospital you go. That would official not be any reason to reprove someone. Certainly not to df. You do not have to check what is the religion of a owner or so. Jw's go to for example christian schools here, no problem.
Of course it depend a bit how much religios the hospital is, but it depends more on the interpretation on the BOE. They should however not take this against you.

They will come if they know it, and will talk to the doctor. If they know it on time.

They should not. Here those records are protected by a privacy law. That should be the same in the US. However in many cases the doctor will tell if the patient gets blood, because he does not see that as an issue. It is normal the doctors tell the situation of the patient to close family members, and details of a operation.

It is a fact that time passes on the Earth at a different rate than it does in space.
yes that if a fact. Due to gravity. The difference is less than 1 millisecond per year. So that really can't explain it. If time would eb that different in space it would have been noticable when people went to the moon. This is exactly messured, it is very very small difference.
It is also a fact that scripture teaches that "God stretcheth out the heavens".
Stars in general are quite far away and many at huge distances where the light that currently is emitteded would take far longer than 6000 years to get here.However if God "stretched out the heavens" as He said He did, and this was done in less than 6 Earth days, then any light rays in transit would be able to continue to get to the Earth in a continuous manner. It would be interesting to model such a process using the equations of general relativity to see if the idea would hold water.
Sorry it is quite possible to try to put the equotations of special relativity (not general) to this. It shows that it is just not possible. For many many reasons. Scientifically this does not make any sense.
Of course 'God can do everything'.
But if all the evidence is contra to the young earth theory then you can only believe in it, if you force yourself to believe in it and don;t look at all the evidence.
Anyway you can always say God did this etc. Never can prove he didn't of course.
Hibiscus, you can also not prove that the seven days of creation did not start last week and ended yesterday.
