How do you feel towards JW's and the organization ? on July 18,2003

some of us have been out awhile, some of us may have just left, some of us still on the fence.. how do you feel towards the jw's and the organization right now, july 18, 2003.. compassion, hurt, hatred, anger, sorry, bitterness, helpless, robbed, cheated, or any other feeling you can think off.

which one describes your situation best ???????????.

all of us feel and handle situations with family differently, yet we are so much the same.. the day may come when family comes to you and says those dreaded words ........... " i can no longer have any association with you, not even on the telephone.".

I don't hate them or any other religion. If this is their only way to be spiritual and become close to God it is their journey.

I feel sad that they close off the available knowledge that would change their viewpoint. I feel sad that the GB can make decisions about who to love and who to shun. They are the ones making judgement calls and others are living with those calls.

Love God and your neighbor. Shunning family members or judging others is the lowest. If God finds his pleasure in this then so be it.

Just a deep saddness for what is lost when we close of knowledge. I am not going to waste time on the past as it is something I can't change.

I went from being pissed, hurt, bitter, enraged, deranged, confused, then finally there came a turning point. I could live my life through love or I can live it being hurt. It was my choice.

They took away 29yrs through my stupidity. I won't give them the next 29yrs.

she told him that she knew i was being immoral, i think she said that i had confessed it to her.

Hi Scotsman,

I am sorry to hear about the betrayal of your mother. She was only doing what she thought was right. She doesn't want to displease Jehovah. Her heart hurts for you I am sure. She is probably so torn from this whole situation also and feels so helpless.

Our Moms good bad or indifferent do try to do the best for us. If there is a way to sit and talk this whole thing out with her. Keep the lines of communication open as you have this reprieve. You were there when she needed you most and now it is her turn to make some decisions. Hopefully to be there for you.

You are going through an extemely hard time and you need some really positive energized friends to help you through. Go to some support groups. Make some friends outside the congregation. This was extremely positive for my son. Although I had left the organization before anything came up.

Do not let anyone define who you are. Do not feel guilty for all the love you have given others. Your Mom will need this compassion if you can give it.

when i was sent to speak to ones and they came back asking me why it is that we hear and they do not, i had taken it before my lord to ask him.

this is what he told me, their hearts are hard and they do not wish to hear what i tell them.

Good Morning,

I believe that God shows us our path thru dreams and experiences we have. We become who we were meant to be through our experiences. We finally make it to the path that we wanted to experience in this life. I do believe in reincarnation.

I believe that thru learning about unconditional love for all mankind to be the main message of the bible. Nothing more.

I just wonder about God being all knowing. How come he didn't realize the Angels were going to take women on the earth and produce offspring. How come he couldn't see it? Does that mean there is a flaw in God?

How come everyone had to die so he could destroy the Nephilim? Albeit Noah and family and all those precious animals. Did that mean that the animals meant more to God than mankind. I know that only the believers chose to take the ride as the animals had no choice. Or is it all a fictitious lie? How come we needed a Human sacrifice to weigh the scales? So the Angels in heaven were watching on and God didn't want to seem like an idiot with the challenge presented so let all of mankind use their free will to make choices to destroy themselves. Are we all sacrifices so God doesn't again look like an Idiot? It was not the fault of man that the Angels came to earth and took women. Man has paid the price time and time again.

It seems to me that mankind who are imperfect get the blame and punishment for things that happen in the heavens and then we are to fear Satan and love God?

I have come to terms with all this by feeling this way. It is all God's plan, no matter what happens I have to beleive that he has a higher plan and if I start to question God then I am like Satan, the Accuser.

What did Satan really Accuse God of? Do we know, were we there? We only have what was brought down and written by supposedly inspired men. Again a couple of books have been left out of the bible.

I will go sacrifice my bull on the altar sunday and hope the neighbors don't complain for it is written.

Well Gary,

It seems you have wrapped it up in such a few short words. Same here, none of my family would ever die. The end was coming, go pioneer where the need was great. Do it because the end is coming and you don't want to be caught not giving your all.

Well Dad died Nov 5,1998, huge wake up call for me. My dad should never have died. This was not the reality I was living. Was it my fault because I was no longer a practicing witness? Did I cause it all? At the time I thought I had. It was just a normal part of life.

Is Death God's practical joke for mankind? Or is it the GB's way of instilling fear? Life and death are part of the whole package, throw in taxes and you have a well rounded out look on life.

Logic Lures Them in, Emotions Keep them In

the wtbts was able to get a foothold years ago because they offered a radical departure from traditional christianity.

they offered up an alternative view of god and the afterlife, some prophetic math, and a good kick in the pants to mainline churches.

the catholic (universal) church deserved that kick, caught asleep on the job.

Well first HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!

Do something special...walk on the beach, fly a kite, go somewhere that you have never been, drink with your friends, get an astrology reading, do something that you would never have thought possible.

Most of all have fun. Celebrate life for what it is...this moment in time.

Ran into two JW's in service today, I was on !!!, it was classic !!!

well, for some reason i was up extra early today, understand i am night person and usually sleep to 11 or so today i was up at 9 and decided to take the dogs out before it got to hot outside.

i hadn't been gone 3 minutes and as i came out of my street onto another i bumped into 2 jw's (females) getting out of their suv.

they asked do you have a couple of minutes.

I can't believe you people have so much bitterness that you would rejoice over the insults thrown at someone that you were no doubt very much like not too long ago. How HYPOCRITICAL! I am no longer bitter and I am certainly not hypocritical. I feel bad for my mother's choices but after all they are her choices. I love my mother and never want to see her hurt but she ran from life and her problems into a religion that gave promises labeled from God. People will choose to deal with their pain in their own way and time and they don't need the extra labeling from such placating, judgemental opinions. We all choose our path in life. If we don't fit into a certain mold it doesn't mean we are wrong but we are not choosing to experience what we deem as negative energy in our lives anymore. For those still in that is their choice. It behooves my old mind to see such negative energy on this otherwise wonderful experience. This person took back some of their power by standing up and doing what they did. They are able to heal inside and if you can't see this it is ok. It was their choice to say what they did. It doesn't make it good or bad, it is just what is. Cathy

it is just so ignorant that i almost can't stand it.

obviously it is a subliminal message about my non-attendance of meetings, but i had to vent and share because she really just pisses me off.. look out: perhaps there may be someone who will carry you off as his prey .

Email is so great! Unfortunetly in the wrong hands it becomes a nuisance. My mom bless her heart torn soul is 800 miles and the only communication is through email.

For a daily read of this becomes nerve racking. My mom stopped doing this to me when I asked her if Angels had sex in heaven? She is still looking up the answer for me. Now we keep to the hello's, what you doing conversation. I agree not as much fun but hey my feelings no longer get hurt.
