  I need some advice

  i am 47 and my parents are 73 and 78. my mom is such a hateful woman, out of 6 kids, i am the only one that even bothers with them, i call every week and have visited them often in arizona (i live in wisconsin) anyway i recently had an argument with my mom.

  she insists on using the "n" word and my step-granddaughter is of mixed race.

  even before that i hated that word.

  I am taking the N word to mean something really derogatory.

  If so I would explain what that word actually means and that she and her husband could be considered this.

  3 : a member of a socially disadvantaged class of persons <it's time for somebody to lead all of America's niggers… all the people who feel left out of the political process.

  So she should not use this word as it really demeans her status in life. Unless of course she votes. You don't have to tell her the second part. People her age are socially disadvantaged as she only has you that actually cares about her.

  So sorry to hear someone can actually continue using this word. It might shock her into some thinking. Although she is doing some major judging.

  Yes 8mil dollars to get the software up and running to make sure it works correctly.

  I think our tax dollars could be used towards something to make a change in the world.

  i don't know why i woke up this morning with this question on my mind.

  why would god make the angels first, which are superior to humans, then go and make something inferior, like humans second.

  i would figure that the angels would be like 1.0 then the humans would be revision 2.0 or something like that.

  I believe in reincarnation. I feel our soul can depart and move on in the next realm.

  I believe we come back here with things that we want to experience. We do have the ability to choose the high or low road.

  I also have reason to believe that Jesus did believe in reincarnation. According to the book of Thomas.

  I also feel astrologically that we are able to access the energy given to us and use it to our greatest good or detriment.

  I firmly believe that in our birthcharts karma is a signature of where we don't want to go but also the signature of shown by the South Node (past issues), North Node (this life) what we want to accomplish in this life. Karma as I believe is setting up contacts in this life for when we need them. Those contacts help us through the hardest part of our lives. They may be considered soul mates. I believe soul mates are our friends through many lifetimes and we don't necessarily marry them. A soul companion is someone we marry. I also believe before our first Saturn return we finish up old karmic business. We choose a life that will shield or give us we need most to help us remember faster.

  After the Saturn return we start on a new path. We begin to question things that were never questionable. How many times since you were 28-30 have you questioned things done in life? I also believe the generation that is now 18-25 is exceeding at faster rates because they are going to become healers for mankind. They will need the years to study and excell at all things. I feel there will be changes in the future that will be amazing. These young ones will not live in a world that has become stale and unselfish.

  'Divisions' in the EXJW World: Thoughts, Please!

  doesnt it seem that the people who have been out of the jws for a while have, for the most part, divided into two political parties?

  we have the group who is pro-trying-to-bringing-down-the-wt and the group that is anti-trying-to-bring-down-the wt.

  of course we have a bunch of independents, too.

  Lisa great points to ponder.

  I am not a reformer, follower, or connected to anything.

  The only thing I have supported were my children because that was two fulltime jobs in of itself.

  Now that I have some time I might do more after I get the knowledge that I am looking for.

  I have never been a fence sitter but I have had to much responsibilty in my life to help others.

  I believe we must take care of ourselves first and foremost before we can help others and I take no viewpoints that I have not researched myself.

  I do not find fault with paths that others take because that is their calling. Franz has his following and I don't think he wanted a following and Bowen has his and I don't personally think he did any of what he did because he wanted a following. I don't believe that anyone that comes away from JWS truly wants a following. They do the things they do because they believe in them. They have researched, they have seen the atrocities suffered on by the flock. They want to open eyes to freedom and a fruitful life. NO more guilt or fear.

  Doesn't this do exactly what Jesus stated in Matthew about loving God and man with everything we have? Never to judge others because maybe the rafter in our eye is bigger than the straw in the one we are judging?

  We all come here with different viewpoints. We are all at different stages of healing. All should be respected because others might not be as far along in their healing as we are. Imagine the shock of someone who just found out facts about the society and come here to find information only to find information that they had no idea about because it was all hidden and we all know that this site is forbidden by the society. When in actuality it is a site about love and giving. A safe zone. They find out it is completely opposite of what the society has deemed wrong, apostacy. Feelings emerge, knowledge abounds, the light bulb goes on.

  the ngo should provide an audited annual financial statement, conducted by a qualified, independent accountant .

  my wife and i are in the process of pulling together the threads and links on the un and wt- as we were going over some sites we ran across the above, can you believe that the wt would not tell it's 6milion members the financial status of gods organization, yet would volunteer to tell satan's number one tool and agent on earth the un.

  Dearest Piph and everyone,

  Consider when you were a little child. You would wonder at the amazement of such little things as putting a leaf in a running stream and know that you were loved by God. You didn't know much about God at that time except he was there because in your little mind God was only as far away as a hello. As we grow older logic sets in and we feel that if we are not good enough, or we have done something wrong the guilt and fear sets in and we no longer feel that closeness with God. Through the teachings of the organization we loose that closeness. Yet God is still just a hello away. God has not changed we have.

  Reach out and know he is there. Feel the chills when you know he is actually listening to you. WE don't need an organized religion to be close to God. We need that child within to come back out and help us through the rough times. We need to have faith in the fact that God actually does love us in spite of what we have been through and maybe more so because we are still living and didn't give up.

  After my father died I would cry and cry. I hated to be near anyone or anything. One day my son cut and cropped a picture with only my Dad in it. He put it in a frame and gave it to me. I just looked at that picture and cried. I later poured my heart out when things were closing in. Each time I get to a point where I can't take anymore I put this picture on the table and light a candle. I sit in front of it and let him know how I am feeling and tell him that I expect these things done. As soon as I am done I feel like the world is lifted off my shoulders and a new day has begun. Yes it is a picture of my dad but at that time I didn't believe in a God who would seemingly back the organization. Now I know different as God is not backing GB.

  We are in the likenes of God. He is the other half of us. That is how close we are to him. That is why happiness is found within.

  i have read some sickening threads the last coupleof days, about family shunning and how disfellowshipped are treated, and even how i am treated by my family.

  (lyineyes, stephaniesays, and phil and many many more).

  ( and i do not what to hear, i'm doing what's best for my children, because half the time the kids leave anyways, so what was the point.).

  Take away the carrot and the horse is not going to move. Period.

  It is about fear and guilt. If we have enough guilt we will always be out in service and meetings to get the promised redemption. Enough fear will keep us on our toes. Always striving to do what is right because we already know we are sinners when we come out of the womb. My god how many times do we have to be told we are sinners and the worst kind if we are not doing what we are told to do.

  This is totally disgusting! Thinking back you are so right. My god I never saw that.

  It sucks to be a woman and a child in this organization.

  With their definition of apostacy, the GB is responsible for their own undoing.

  They are the ones that have committed these grievous sins.

  Talk about keeping the congregation clean my god they have it all backwards.

  Maybe the congregations should have kept the GB clean.
