  no where does it mention that noah traveled around the world in his big boat.

  in fact, is says that the ark was floating "high above the earth".

  also, what does matthew mean about "just like in the days of noah?

  the wtbts says it is on earth.

  however, an examination of the 3 scriptures that mention paradise raises questions as to the validity of the wt's claims.

  for instance, at luke 23:43 jesus tells the criminal beside him that he (the criminal) will be with him (jesus) in paradise.

  i grew up in a "divided household" in missouri.

  i suspect my mother had post partum depression when jws knocked on her door.

  she fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

  Yeah, It's funny how jws will see armageddon in any event outside their comfort zone e.g. earthquake, disaster, even a thunderstorm. All part of our reptillian brain trying to understand why.

  Embarrassing to admit I did the same for years. Isn't it great to be free of superstition?

  Are you living your life fully knowing that you will one day die?

  as jw's it was out of the question to die.

  the end was too close for that to happen, unless you had a bad accident or sickness.

  most of us believed that we wouldn't die, and on top of that we were about to become young again.. since we will all die, do you make it a priority in your life right now to live it fully, and to love fully the ones you care for because every day you skip, its lost and won't come back..

  I reckon the belief that death is inevitable, keeps me on my toes, so to speak.

  It give me balance with life problems, helping keep them in perspective.

  This is especially true when having dramas with another person. I ask myself, would this issue be so important if I was on my my deathbed?

  when i was new to message board posting, i once got a little to involved with the people and found myself sucked into debate and people getting all grouped up in support of one another.

  yet, i had never met anyone on the message board.

  until one day, one of the people who debated me the most mentioned where he worked and it was in a town about two hours away.

  When I post, I try to think, is this what I would say to someone if they were in front of me? Would I bother arguing the point?

  i am a reasonable cook when i can be bothered (as paulj will hopefully confirm) but often resort to quick and easy methods, packet mixes, tins etc.. whereas my parner is a brilliant cook!!

  leave him in the kitchen for a little while and he produces something from scratch that is delicious.

  so today i decided to extend my culinary skills!

  I made a chinese dish called beggars chicken for my chinese bro in law. Took hrs and looked sensational. Broke open the outer shell surrounding the chicken, all perfect. Tasted it.... Somehow I must have put a cup of SALT in it!!! That is the one and only time I have thrown a dish against a wall ?!#@
