Does the WTBTS still control your life?
by Honesty indo you follow the arrangement dictated by the governing body of jw's regarding df'd and da'd individuals?
do you shun the jw's like you are expected to by wt leaders or do you speak to jw's and greet them with a smile even if they shun you when you do so?
in complying with wtbts rules of acceptable behavior for da'd or df'd persons do you think that you are showing unconditional love to your neighbor?

If on field service they are not there to just share the gospel with you - they actually don't give a damn about what you think / say / believe 'cos their ultimate goal is to convert you - so they actually lying about why they are out there doing what they do. And it's not because they genuinely love you 'cos they can just about show a superfical kind of caring amongst themselves - so that is a lie. And everything else..... - I'm sure there are honest hearted ones in the JWs' and because they don't know any better you just got to let them be.

on that thought there was some "new light" -to introduce a new time factor as 2014 approaches (100 years since 1914) This was introducted subtly in the December 15 Watchtower 2003 drawing a parallel btn Noahs' Day and the big "A" day. In a round about way it's pointing to 2033

grabbing the magazines
by Junction-Guy inwell i kinda started a new tradition last year.
sometime last year i stopped off at a gas station in london kentucky and i noticed watchtower and awake magazines laying on a brochure rack, and i promptly removed them.
well yesterday on the way up to dayton i stopped off at that station again, and sure enough there were 6 magazines there, 3 watchtowers and 3 awakes.

Mankind came from one society which spread out?
by Sirona ini'm currently reading a book called "heaven's mirror" by graham hancock.. it theorises that the ancient egyptian pyramids, certain monuments in cambodia and mexican pyramids are built according to an ancient system which seems to have been mysteriously spread across the globe, sometime prior to 10,500 bc.. they base this theory on commonalities between the sites, most especially significant astrological correlations which are astounding.. here is a link to graham hancocks site with a description of the book http://www.grahamhancock.com/library/hm/default.htm.
what i found surprising is that he promotes many jw ideas.
firstly he comments upon how many of the cultures report a "global cateclysm" in their mythology.

As I live in Africa (south africa) I kinda feel at home on this. I know this is not what the original thread was about but some interesting facts on what we call The Cradle of Humankind. It's in the north western corner of Gauteng (pronounced with a gutteral ggggowteng). It covers about 47 000 hectares and has a complex of fossil-bearing caves containing a superbly preserved record of the stages in the evolution of humankind. There have been huge scientific discovers,providing major breakthroughs in the search for the origins of humankind, such as the world's most famous pre-human skull known as Mrs Ples - this dated 2.8 million years old and Little Foot, an alomost complete human sceleton dated 4,17 million years, plus many other finds.
I believe that mankind has existed for longer than the teaching of 6000 years - I reckon that the whole "Adam & eve" story is a parabel, and does not literally mean one man & one woman, there is a more spiritual/deeper meaning.

Were/Are you afraid to read the Watchtower Publications?
by LyinEyes ini have to confess that i was a bit afraid to even touch any new jw publications for so long.
i know it sounds so silly but i was afraid if i read something in them, i might get brainwashed again.
it was hard for me to admit that i was so brainwashed as one of jw's.

I actually just can't read their publications anymore - I get sick that I was so decieved, It irritates me 'cos I know it's all lies lies lies. I've thrown all my watchtowers, awakes on most publications away. The only thing I've kept is the NWT & their Interliner greek bible, cd & insight books for comparitive study. I've left that life behind me!
