  New Watchtower Distribution System...

  to expedite the final delivery of wt literature the watchtower has adopted a new distribution system.

  as the rolls of paper and ink etc arrive at the printing facilities they go directly to the printing presses where 10's of thousands of books, magazines, tracts etc are printed every hour.

  they are then packaged and sent to the shipping docks where they are loaded onto semi trucks.

  Watchtower Library 1995

  i have a copy of the watchtower library 1995 cd, but i have 98 on my computer and i need to know if there is anyway i can run the 95 program on 98. does anyone know?

  There could be any number of issues (apart than your Windows version) with your (or anyone's) particular configuration that may cause the problem. It may simply be that your CD is damaged.

  If memory serves me correctly, the 1995 edition of the Watchtower Library was actually still a 16-bit program, for compatibility with Windows® for Workgroups though it should not have any specific problems with newer versions of Windows, all of which provide a 16-bit subsystem for backward compatibility. (Windows 9x has a chiefly 32-bit kernel but also has a lot of 16-bit components intrinsic to the OS. Windows NT/2000/XP is built fully on 32-bit code, with 16-bit support only for the 16-bit application sub-system.)

  A possibility could be to do with whether your hard drive is using a 32-bit 'protected mode' driver or not. (If it's not, general performance can be degraded, and Windows 98 can also have problems with some applications.) Go to Control Panel, double-click System, click the Performace tab, and check whether there are any problems indicated, such as "Compatibility Mode Paging reduces overall system performance"

  so i finally decided to get my a** to the library and read some real research on cults.

  the book i'm starting with is "psychodynamic perspectives on religion, sect and cult.

  in the introduction they mention margaret thaler singer's definition of a destructive cult as an organization in which:a leader claims divinity or special relationship with god.

  I saw a report on television about a group called "The Family" that specifically involved child abuse being openly carried out and that taught that sex with children is normal behaviour. More information is available at http://www.xfamily.org/index.php/60_Minutes_Australia:_Sinful_Acts

  I think j-dubs are one of the worst cults in the world . They are dangerous in that they demand people including women and children go out into hostile environments to sell magazines . They don't even have life insurance in fact I'm certain they condemn the use of any sort of insurance unless told to by law .

  Though there are very definitely significant problems with Jehovah's Witnesses, they can't honestly be classified as the worst. If only 'going out into hostile environments to sell magazines' was the worst thing happening in the world, both among the Witnesses, and everywhere else.

  The Watchtower Society does not at all condemn life insurance. On the contrary, it suggests each year that " The Watch Tower Society may be named as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy or in a retirement/pension plan."

  If you are going to say negative things about an organization, you should get your facts straight, or you diminish the reliability of anything you say.

  Jehovah's Witnesses are certainly not the worst cult on the planet, (as there are some other groups that actively promote child sex abuse as part of their beliefs, deny all medical attention, etc), but that doesn't mean they aren't a cult at all.

  as an experiment, i dare anyone to go out on to the street and make eye contact with someone.

  not just for a few seconds, i mean, look at their eyes and don't stop as they walk closer and pass by.

  i would bet, that a large percentage of the men would ask you what your problem is, and ask you if you have a problem with them.
