---"Armageddon comes every Monday morning at 5am. Fortunately I have an 'Armageddon-Snooze' button on my alarm which delays the Apocalypse by 6 minutes at a time."---
LOL! I agree, 100%.
I remember a brother that would hand out the yearbooks and tell sisters, "Strange, it only goes to October 5th this year (or some date)". Surprising how many took him seriously.

Fantastic end to police chase
by freedom96 ini couldn't help but smile at the news last night.
here in san diego, 3 guys are being chased by the police while driving their stolen car.
the fog gets quite thick, so the police stop the chase, but then realize that the car they were chasing pulled over.

I'm surprised so many find this to be a fitting end, or fantastic.
There should be punishment for the crime, but death? I don't see any benefit to anyone in their death. There are many productive, good people in the world that have done something as stupid as stealing a car when they were younger. Not everyone who does something stupid when they're a kid becomes a career criminal. -

US Marines ... Requested by the French Government
by hillbilly inpresident bush may send up to 5 marines for french assistance.
president bush has authorized the joint chiefs to begin drawing up a battle plan to pull france's a$$ out of the fire again.
facing an apparent overwhelming force of up to 400 pi$$ed off teenagers mr. bush doubts france's ability to hold off the little pi$$ants.

Here is balance !!!!! they do not want to be part of the rest of the world, if you visit France you find they hate Americans. They tell you that to your very face. Go there one time and you'll never go back. They need to know that they are part of the WORLD and not above the world. They do not tolorate disversity. That is why the Blacks and other minority's are burning the country
I've been to France quite a few times. Seeing how other Americans present themselves in Paris and I can see why we would be looked down on. In many countries I've traveled to, I've seen Americans basically acting like a$$es. But spend a little time treating people with some respect, show an interest in their culture and language, and you will usually get along fine.
I do find the French to have a strong desire to retain their culture. I think it would be very sad to see French culture swallowed up by the rest of the world. I agree that the French may think more highly of themselves than is realistic, but don't Americans and other countries do the same?
"The do not tolerate diversity." Uh, can't argue with you there.

At what age should a person loss their drivers licence?
by free2beme inin my area, in the last year, there has been six people killed in three separate accidents by someone over the age of 70. in two cases, the elderly people lived while the other drivers did not.
in one case the elderly person was killed, as well as the people they hit.
of the six people killed, two were children under the age of five.

I think I'd support a mandatory road test each year for drivers over a certain age, but not just using age to lose your license.
I've know (and seen) terrible drivers over 70. Once I rode with one in service and finally insisted on driving his car the rest of the time. But I also know some who are over 70 that drive just fine. -

Slept in Saturday and Sunday. Took my daughter shopping for a desk and some shelves, and out to eat a couple of times. Spent a few hours on the phone with my gf. Did some reading in the evenings.
Average weekend for me, relaxing and happy.

Can someone help me decide what to do?
by Kaylen incan someone give me some feedback on what they would do in this situation:.
last weekend my best friends husband told me that three years ago he caught (and spied on for about half an hour) my husband and my very best friend "getting hot and heavy" (his words) in our spa and that he watched them because "he found it hot".
the three of them decided that they would not tell me and kept it a secret for the last three years until he told me (because he was drunk at the time).

I'm so sorry to hear that this kind of thing has happened to you.
If it were me, I'd be more bothered by your husbands reaction when you asked him. At least if he were sick about it and considered your feelings, it might show that he gives a s**t about what he did. As others have said, being drunk means nothing. I would probably talk to him further about why he seems to feel that it wasn't a big deal (at least it would seem he feels that way). Cheating on your spouse is a big indication of how the cheater really feels about the other. At least I see it that way.
I would have to confront the friend too. I don't mean attack, I mean confront. Talk to her about it, let her know that you know, see what her view is. If you keep her as a friend that's a decision you can make after talking with her.
You said: "I should be yelling and screaming and carrying on but I just find that I just keep trying to establish what was going on then (my husband while he has admitted to it says he doesn't remember anything and says it doesnt achieve anything to go into details about it) and I feel that in some way it must be my fault."
No, you should be handling it in a way you're comfortable with. Just because some people scream and yell and carry on doesn't mean you have to. Just because you may not outwardly look like you're hurting, doesn't mean that you're not. Don't let how you appear to others control how you handle the situation.
Also, don't blame yourself for other people's stupid actions. It's easy to do, but it's not good. You can blame those who are at fault, and even forgive them, but don't blame yourself as a way to push past the situation. You didn't do it, they did. -

Were the "Pioneers" in your hall treated with favoritism by the Elders?
by booker-t init seems that all of the parts on the theocratic ministry school were given by the pioneers in my old hall.
also the elders were always complemented on how "sister pioneer" is so zealous and loves jehovah.
as if sister not pioneering hated jehovah.

---"I know one thing.....the pioneers in the last Hall I went to always knew in advance who was being DF ahead of time and the particulars to the reasons why."---
I remember a pioneer who's husband was an elder telling my wife, "**** tells me things if they affect me, and if it's in my congregation it affects me."
That told me alot about the confidentiality with elders. -

Do you know of any "born-again christians" that became JW's?
by booker-t ini was just wondering how many born-agains become jw's especially the ones that know all about the wt history of false prophecies, scandals, etc; and what do they say now if they might have told you about the errors of the wt.
do they suddenly get amnesia?
i remember when i was in high school in the 1980's there was a girl that used to try and convert me to born-againism.

I know of one that I'm certain about. He's been at bethel for about 12 years now.
He studied with JW's when he was about 24 or so and ate it up. Couldn't get enough. He came in quickly, pioneered right away and was at bethel about 18 months after he started pioneering. I hear he's still as zealous as he ever was. -

The service overseer in my almost last hall was a pioneer. He said several times in his talks, "We (the pioneers) would like to really thank you (publishers) for helping us so much with OUR territory."
Apparently I was the only one who took offense at that. I had a big problem with him referring to the territory as theirs. Of course maybe pioneers are taught that, I don't know. I was only a regular auxiliary pioneer, not a REAL pioneer so what would I know.
